  1. New aftermarket radio? Not sure I understand what you mean by that. The truck has a factory infotainment unit.
  2. Update, I’ve owned the truck since April and I have to stop the XM App about 2 times a month on average. I have no idea what a long term fix would be I made a short video to help people for this problem
  3. My 2020 Silverado 3500 miles.. has had an issue usually where upon starting the first time of the day.. the XM Radio says no signal or signal loss but it can do it during the day , but it only happens on start up and not just while driving. This is sitting out in the open, no obstruction. I have always felt this is a software issue and not a hardware problem. Even though I called XM and wasted 20 minutes on the phone with some idiot that said my antenna was unplugged or I had a “bad module” This problem was totally intermittent . It happened 4 or 5 times within a week of owning it and I took a pic of the screen and took it to the dealer. I told them when it was doing it and they did the basic check of the antenna wire.. and said they couldn’t do anything because at the time it was there it was working. 3 weeks goes by and no more issues, then out of the blue, it did it again the other day. Thinking this was a software thing.. I went into the settings and found aps.. the currently running aps..scrolled way down to near the bottom and there was XM Radio ap.. there is a stop button to the right and I stopped the XM ap from running and immediately the radio stars working I think when you start up, the Infotainment system loads these aps, and for some reason the XM ap, does not load correctly and it freezes, like a program on your desktop PC I know this wont fix the problem but its a quick work around when it does happen. Since I did this the fix on Monday, my radio has worked fine since.. so I ‘m waiting to see if it does it again.
  4. the Mylink, I am not pressing the on star button just the button on the steering wheel
  5. The first month I had the truck, from the day of delivery, the voice recognition worked fine. One month in, you cannot tell it to "call" and then say a name. It says it does not recognize or acts like it is not hearing you. I can tell it to tune to any radio station and it even seems to work somewhat ok with the nagivation. But after working great for a month, the voice calling just stopped working. The dealer is stumped, the service manager said he was going to "email GM" but that was 3 weeks ago and he never called me back They tell me there is no update available and nothing to "reset". The service manager suspected that On Star was somehow to blame as he said the My Link works with On Star I'm pissed. Its a feature that was sold to me and it worked for a month and I want it fixed. Any ideas as to what to do?
  6. hey guys, sort of the new guy here. I am not inclined to read all of the 600 plus pages in this thread but I have read several pages and was wondering if anyone can please give me the Cliffs Notes on the suspension vibration issue? My new 16 Crew Cab 4X4 Z71 has under 500 miles on it and most of it has been at 75 mph on highway and it's a smooth driving truck. I am not feeling anything like what some of you are describing. thanks for taking the time to get me up to speed
  7. that would be great if you posted your results
  8. you can't feel anything, only a slight, quick single pop sound when the suspension loads in a slight, soft, slow speed turn it is equal on both sides
  9. 2007 Silverado 1500 - 62,000 miles for about 6 months I have had a mild popping sound coming from my front end both sides when I make a slow speed turn, like entering a parking lot or turning onto my street as soon as I turn and the suspension loads a little I get one single pop I checked and re-lubed the ball joints and they seem fine I also spray lubed the control arm bushings about 2 weeks ago and it didn't help any suggestions?
