I have a weird problem. Passenger front regulator broke a while back and I just got around to replacing it. I was in a hurry and bought a Dorman replacement from AutoZone instead of ordering a GM part. Replaced the regulator/motor assembly and it lasted a day, broke again. In all honesty it was probably my fault as I don't think I tightened the clamps enough where it grips the glass.
They replaced the regulator under warranty and I installed the 2nd one. All worked great, or so I thought. Now the only window what will work when the truck is running is the drivers window. The other 3 won't work from the drivers controls or the controls on the respective doors. However, they will work like normal if the truck is in ACC. Once you start the engine the lights in the window switches go out on the drivers door and all the others. Turn it back to ACC and the lights come back on and you can control them the windows. If you have one of the windows moving while in ACC and start the engine while holding the button the window will stop one second after ignition (except the drivers window which works properly).
I'm stumped.... Tried pulling the door panel back off the passenger side to see if the connector was loose but it's fine. Any ideas? Is there some programing sequence that needs to be done? It didn't do this the first time I replaced the regulator. I'd really like to avoid taking the thing to the dealership and paying $$$$ for them to "troubleshoot" it.
