No they don’t check emissions around here. But I’m lost on tine bottle water trick. Po 301 I got codes P0449 and P0455. On the check at auto zone. That says cylinder 1 misfire.

Thanks so much. I did take battery off again. But not for 30 min. I jus see it blinks when driving sometimes. Not all. Then will be a regular engine light when stopped

Far as I know it never has. But if fluid hasn’t been changed in who knows how long. I didn’t kno if that may help a while. Wasn’t sure.

Recently got a 06 Silverado and now the Transmission is slipping going into 3rd. does fine 1st and 2nd. No 3rd. Then kinda just rides high in 2nd . I’ve read this seems to be a problem with a lot of the trucks of this model. This Trucks has 220k miles. And the former owner said they don’t know when the last time fluid was changed. That it was probably Atleast 50-60k ago. If not more. so my question is. Would going to have the transmission fluid changed help this problem out ? Or is it a waste of time and $$ , or the trans if probably screwed by now ? That it needs a solenoid or other repair ? Just seeing if anyone else had this problem or what there fix was ? Or any advice on a budget. Thanks any replies greatly appreciated

And seem to misfire , then when I stopped in my drive way. It went from Blinking to steady Light. To off. Then back on to steady , Drove down the street. It started flashing again. now this truck has 220k miles. So it could be a number of things. many advice ( on a budget , cus I wouldn’t be riding this if I had $$ for a new one 1). Lol many where I put new battery it just reset everything and chances are it could work itself out after driving a while ? I’ve read that , Or disconnect battery and a while and try again ??
