  1. For the price, I just tossed it. It was so full of dirt I wouldn't want to try and reinstall it. I'm just hoping the system is clean enough to last a while. Sucks being in Minnesota with a CEL that won't let me use my remote start.
  2. My experience with EVAP code P0446 was due to being driven on a lot of dirt roads and dust clogging up the EVAP system. I checked upstream from the Vent Solenoid (that sits in front of the gas tank). The tube that runs up to the gas filler area above the gas tank is just a breather line that goes to a small air filter box behind the gas filler head. Mine was packed solid with dirt road dust that was practically hard packed clay. I scraped it out and cleaned the 2 sponge filters inside, then replaced the vent solenoid, and all seems good so far. I just did this yesterday, so I'm really hoping it continues without a code. But I drove it 4 times for total of 20+ miles and no CEL yet. In the picture you can see the gas filler in the background hiding behind the bed side panel, and I'm holding the clogged filter. This is how much dirt I scraped out of it. This is the dirt I shook out of the vent solenoid upstream line that goes up to that filter. The downstream line to the charcoal box was not near as bad. But there's also about 3ft of line that connects the small vent line to the tiny filter. I just used my air compressor to try and blow that out best I could. But I should replace that tube as well, as it will never get clean from blowing air through it. That's a project for a warmer day in the spring. It's freezing in Minnesota and I don't have space in the garage to work on this truck. This is the part I ordered. It has different connectors on the lines than the old part I removed (like you can see in the above photo). The new hose connectors have 2 moving retaining clips, a white clip and a green clip. It all fit together nicely, though. The old connectors were so caked with dirt the clips wouldn't move to release it. So I used a screwdriver to pry the clips out till they broke and fell out completely. 2019 Silverado 1500 2.7L - Vent Solenoid - Part Number 84613138 I ordered from chevy-oem-parts.com and it was about $42.
  3. And maybe this board won't let me 'react' to others' posts because I'm too new, but just pretend I 'liked' your posts. EDIT: Yup, there it is. After the 5th post I can now react to others' posts.
  4. First off, thank you so much for your input! I've been trying to find info on this new Chevy model and it's been difficult. I was trying to find part numbers based on chevy-parts-online.com parts schematics but I guess I ended up with some bad advice and the wrong part numbers (even if I did need to replace the purge valve solenoid). I've been confused about that one even after the ebay seller answered my question directly to say that it fit my truck. The PCV valve is at least the right part, but I guess I'll save myself the labor and leave the current on in place. I'm glad you confirmed that part number. Since I made this post, I have ordered that exact part number. It is in transit now. I did not install any parts yet. I'll try to return, but they were cheap, so if I can't, it's not a big deal. The scanner had the ONE error, but had multiple pages of info to scroll through and read. So I'm praying this vent solenoid will fix the CEL and I can use my remote start. We have snow on the ground now in Minnesota. Thanks again. That was the clearest reply I have gotten for this topic on this board and two Facebook groups.
  5. 146,000 miles. No warranty. Yes, this is a 2019 Silverado 1500, with the 2.7L turbo. It's just spun a lot of miles in a short time.
  6. Thank you Kilgore Trout I ordered a Vent Solenoid. Hopefully this will do the trick. Removing that CEL and getting that remote start working will really help.
  7. I live in MN, so clearing this CEL to get my remote start working is important. 2019 Silverado 2.7L CEL Code = P0446 - Evaporative Emissions System Vent Control Circuit Also, when I fill the tank, the gas pump shuts off prematurely MANY times before I can get the tank full. I'm not sure how to resolve this, but I bought a new PCV valve and Purge Valve hoping these would help. But I can't figure out how to remove the old PCV. As you can see in the pic below, the PCV is held in place by 3 prongs with 90° lips that hold it in the case. How do I remove this?? I tried pulling on it pretty hard, but nothing happened other than some bending and I thought I might break it. Am I suppose to pull harder till it pops out? I have yet to try and install the purge valve. I'm not even sure I bought the right part. This part is under the truck bed below the gas fill tube, right? There are literally zero videos on youtube for items like this on the 2.7L engine. (I know I just need to go look under the bed to see, it's just been cold and wet lately.) Does anyone have a download for a 2.7L Service Repair Manual? PCV: (shows retaining clips) Purge Valve:
