I'd be happy to, I'm just not sure what you're referring to when you say "evidence." If you can clarify I'll do my best to supply the requested info.

Hello Alexis. As the owner of a 2019 AT4 Sierra I have not been able to confirm that there is a part that will fit my model (at least not without some customization, since my VIN doesn't support the illuminated GMC logos that I have been able to find thus far during my searches). I have seen evidence of some others with a 2019 model year that were able to get it to work, but again, not without some modification as it's not a direct GMC replacement part for the 2019 to the best of my knowledge. I'll keep looking, you do the same and if either one of us finds something let's plan to have the courtesy to let the other know....deal? Kindest Regards, joseywales

That's encouraging info guys, and thank you for that. That said, where can someone like me buy on to fit my 2019 GMC Sierra? The link provided a few posts earlier didn't work, so I'm curious. The only source I've been able to find thus far is on Ebay, and the seller told me that (based on my VIN) it wasn't compatible. So, if you know where I can get a lighted GMC emblem for a 2019 GMC I would appreciate the lead. Kindest Regards, joseywales

Thanks for the reply John Spurrier. I explored the link that you supplied but I do not see a fit/option for a 2019 GMC Sierra. Perhaps I'm missing something. Regardless, I've not really heard anything positive from those who have made this mod (e.g. it fails prematurely, it doesn't light up with the DRL, etc.) so I'm not sure if it's something worth pursuing unless I had more reassurance of it's performance. Again, thank you for the reply, and if I truly am missing something please let me know. Kindest Regards, joseywales

UPDATE ALL! GMC responded to my email that I sent last evening requesting a reply, expressing my urgency as I had a scheduled appointment with a private mechanic for the following day. They came through in spades. I received a phone call from my local GM Certified dealership just in time (truth is my vehicle had just been hoisted up to begin the replacement at my personal mechanic's shop) and I was able to contact him and stop the install to see what may come about from the visit to the dealership. Once I arrived at the dealership they said they'd need an hour to take a look. I told them that I was pressed for time and he said, "well, give me 20 minutes." To which I said that's fair. Well, 1 hour and 35 minutes later I was approached by a rep and he said that they'd found a mouse (dead of course) wedged between the brake pad and rotor. Wha? Anyway, that was obviously weird, but he knew that couldn't be the ultimate reason for the failure, so he said he was going to have his lead/chief mechanic take it for a test drive. It didn't hurt that he had the same truck as mine, albeit a couple years newer. Upon his return he concurred that something was definitely wrong, and it shouldn't be with so few miles on the odometer and no history of towing. The dealership said that they would take it from there and contact GM to see what they had to say. He couldn't say when to expect a response, and I was pessimistic about a quick reply as I drove my truck back to the office. To my surprise I got a call within a half an hour from the dealership telling me that GM said that they would cover all of the repair costs, less $60 that I'd have to pay! How f'n awesome is that! For all the bad press about their customer service, they truly did come through for me in this case. Especially when you take into consideration that my truck was 21 days past it's factory warranty...they could've, legally, said tough break and sorry to hear about your experience, but they chose to step up and do the right thing. The only downside is that the earliest that I could get it back to the dealership for the repairs is 9 days from today, as they had to order the parts (because, according to the dealer, they've not yet ever had to perform this type of service for the 2019 and beyond GMC trucks because, well, these components should last much longer than this) but I can live with the shuttering and inconvenience of the wait in exchange for the cost savings. All hope is not lost. I know that there are probably dozens of accounts from those not having the same outcome with their repair pursuits, but just know that there are still good people out there, that customer service is not dead and that it is worth you time and effort in working with GM if you have an issue...they may surprise you like they did me, and the worst that they can say is no. Thanks again to all who have commented in this thread (especially GMCustomerService!), you've been a great help. Kindest Regards, joseywales

@GMCustomerService Sent, for the second time, the requested information. Still awaiting a response. Time is of the essence as I had already made arrangements to have the brake rotor and pad service done, so if you're going to step up and cover this expense I need to know. Please advise. Thank you again for the initial reply. Kindest Regards, joseywales

For what it's worth, I've never towed anything, never driven aggressively (on either acceleration or braking) so the driving style must be ruled out. The infotainment display still shows 96% Front and 97% Rear brake pad health. I'm stumped. I'll be curious to hear what the mechanic has to say upon pulling things apart. Maybe it's just the rotors? The rear rotors are all grooved and clearly not right. I do live in northeastern Wisconsin, so perhaps road salt played a role (but I did routinely take it through the carwash ever since I got it in June 2019), not sure. At the end of the day it just sucks. I posted this originally not because I was knocking GMC but rather to see if this problem was a known condition. Apparently it is not, so thank you all very much for the replies. Kindest Regards, joseywales

It is certainly evident that my experience is an anomaly (just my luck!). And GM would likely balk at this being a warranty item due to it being a wearable, consumable item (despite it having under 25,000 miles with no history of towing and 95% highway miles). I know that it's not a high dollar repair, but it's the principle of it all!

I was stunned to find out, after bringing my 2019 AT4 into the shop due to shaking under braking, that I was going to need brand new rotors and brake pads. My vehicle has less than 25,000 miles on it, I've never once towed anything and it's all highway miles with no aggressive driving. Having avoided domestic (U.S.) vehicles for just such reasons for decades I have to ask, is this a common occurrence? Do any other Sierra owners have this same issue? Having migrated from a Toyota 4Runner over to my Sierra, I can say that I never ONCE had any issues with the Toyota. It just flat out did its thing, day in and day out, without issue. Having my Sierra now for 3 years I cannot say the same. Granted, the issues haven't been huge, but the quantity speaks volumes to me. This latest one, with the rotors and pads is truly a headscratcher. I'd love to hear if any other 2019 Sierra owners have had the same fate. Regards, joseywales

Thanks KillerOfMillers, I've sent you a DM/PM as requested. I'm only skeptical because of the dealer that I'd originally talked to about this. After he requested and I supplied him with my VIN he said it was not a match, hence the concern. I'd love nothing more than for him to be mistaken, but I just want to be sure.

Full disclosure on my part, even that is beyond my abilities. I mean, I the red and black wire reference, but it's not something that I would do myself. I may ask on of the electricians that I work with if they'd be willing to help with this, assuming it's as simple as you're implying. Thank you for the comment, it's very much appreciated.

Hey sharkeysierra and wurgs, thank you very much for the replies. I was told by the seller, after supplying them with my VIN that it wouldn't work with the 2019's because of the connection incompatibilities behind the headlight. That said, seems to me like there must be something that works for this model year, even if it involves some trickeration or adaptation. Perhaps there's a kit that makes the 2019 Sierra connection compatible with the 2020+ plugs? Not sure, it just seems like someone well beyond my scope of knowledge would've figured this out long ago. I'm brand new to modding a vehicle, so I expected to be stumped along the way, but I do know that there are true "wizards" out there that find ways to make things work. However, if there is a commercial plug-and-play available for sale to make this work I'd be more than happy to spend the money, so if anyone knows of such a product please let me/us know. As always, thank you in advance. Kindest Regards, joseywales

Does anyone know if there is an illuminated front badge option for a 2019 AT4? I've been through the rabbit hole trying to figure it out (and it's not a question of availability, but rather a question of compatibility that I'm asking). I was fired up when I say a potential prospect on Ebay but after checking my VIN they said it wasn't a fit. So, if there's any option that's out there I'd greatly appreciate a response. Thank you in advance. joseywales
