  1. I've had the truck a year now but still haven't figured out a couple things (I'm a jarhead, not a rocket surgeon). For the memory seats, I've always had to hold the button down vs just pressing it. I'm assuming that's just how it works but I was hoping there was something I didn't know. Along the same lines, is there a way to have it return to a preset position when you exit the vehicle? On my Fords, the seat would go all the way back when I shut of the engine (handy feature). How the heck do you get the dome lights to work? When I go out at night they rarely turn on when I open the door.
  2. 4x4s with the 20" wheels (275/65/20) are 34.1" in diameter from the factory which is larger than both of those. Not sure if it's the same on the 2wd.
  3. Went in for an oil and filter change on Friday and ended up driving a loaner home because the actuator arm on the turbo failed. I found it hard to believe but there is a service bulletin associated with it (23-NA-116). It sucks but I'm two weeks from towing our 40' 5er across the country so I'm glad it happened now and not while I was out on the road somewhere. Dash lit up like a Christmas tree and the message center had all kinds of crap in it too.
  4. I've had a '24 for just over a year now. Until Friday, things had been great in regard to reliability. I went in for an oil and fuel filter change and ended up coming home in a loaner vehicle. Somehow, the variable vein actuator broke on the turbo which through a bunch of codes when I started it to come home from the dealer's service center. I have my doubts that it was a coincidence but apparently there is a technical service bulletin covering this (I've been searching but haven't found it yet). As for how it tows (I have a 40' Cedar Creek weighing in around 17k pounds), I've been quite happy. Power has been quite good with the exception of torque management from a stop (extremely aggressive in 1st gear). Once it hits about 1600rpm the power comes on all at once (again, only 1st gear from a stop though). Drivability in every other situation has been fantastic. Mileage towing my trailer is 8-9mpg on the highway around 65mph. Not sure how the other user pulled off 23mpg around town as I can only muster 22mpg on the highway under 70mph if I'm focusing on driving with mileage in mind. Around town, we're closer to 12mpg. Overall, I absolutely love the truck and I would have a hard time parting with it. It's comfortable, I like the creature comforts, and it does its job. If you have fulltime plans in your future, there is no reason to buy a gas engine.
  5. I drag our 40' 5th wheel around US (it's our "home") and I just can't think of a single time I've ever cared what gear I was in. The display shows me TPMS (along with the trailer on the center stack) and trans temp which concern me more than anything else. What else do you want on the cluster that you aren't seeing?
  6. From a locked position, 2 clicks on FOB works sometimes. The times it fails, the lights flash signaling it received a command but does nothing else. I've never not had it work on any other vehicle we've owned lol.
  7. Wouldn't start a couple days ago so I tried the lock, unlock, yada yada a few times and it did eventually start. In my case, trying to start with the doors unlocked (failed) and then locking and trying to start again worked.
  8. The lights will flash showing that it receive some command but not start. I'll try the lock, unlock, and re-lock but I've done similar with no luck (not sure in that order or not lol).
  9. This worked perfect! I used a Dremel with the fine sanding drum and took off so little it isn't measurable by anything I have but it works every time now. Thank again.
  10. Our remote start seems to work less frequently as time goes by. It works approx 65% of the time now and the condition is worse in cooler weather and/or sitting for a while (e.g. over night). Anyone else experiencing this?
  11. So I tried to drive conservatively and maintain 70mph on the highway (about 95% of this trips driving) and did pretty well. Wasn't able to hand calculate because of the trip duration but was pretty happy.
  12. Mine have worked properly from the start. So many weird issues with these lol.
  13. Awesome, thanks! I'll check it out today.
  14. This is true of most units with an inverter that powers a residential fridge. I can disable both giggy boxes but still have to turn off the inverter if I want to shut down the fridge. It's a wonder trailer wiring works at all LOL.
  15. Got an update a week or two ago along with a new surprise trailer tail light "feature."
