  1. Can anyone tell me the standard voltage for my 2010 5.3 Sierra SLE Crew Cab Z71? Got a "New" Batt. 5 mos. ago and it's near junk already, wonderin if my Alt. is overcharging. When static volts is 11.9, my Alt. is at 14.7, then goes down from there, after 10-12 min.(then turnin the engine off) the static voltage is about 12.9 V, is it too high, or is it just a ****** Batt.?
  2. Thank you VERY much, now it all makes sense.
  3. Thanks, but no, the purge solenoid is connected with one line, there's a 3rd (out of the canister, one back to the tank, one to the solenoid, and a 3rd, which goes to?) which goes forward , just as of yet I can't figure out where.
  4. Found a dealer "willing" to do the swap, I went to Bob Pion Pontiac/Chevrolet they did it while I waited, and I was out in under an hour and a half.
  5. Can anyone tell me where the plastic line from the charcoal canister that goes to a steel line (Fwd. out of sight,) on the frame rail ends up? I'm assuming the fuel rail but can't find it. It rotted off at the plastic/steel union and is popping an EVAP code( Large Leak). Was gonna go rubber all the way but can't find the other end. Can anyone give any clues please.

  7. 2010 Sierra 1500, Airbag, got a notice from GM, said it was a recall as I remember.
  8. Yeah, thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.
  9. Is it normal/legal for a Dealer Service Dept. to refuse a factory recall job due to the age of the truck.? Had a dealer refuse to book the job cause the truck was over 10 yrs. old, I've never heard of such a thing.
  10. Hello, anyone with knowledge on a 2010 Sierra 1500 SLE Z71 5.3, the rear end , please reply, I got a nasty squeal combined with a chirping, coming from the driver's side rear, a little less on the pass. side, figured brakes were shot, replaced everything drums on down, and it's still there, my question is how do I decrease end play, would it be a worn center pin in the pumpkin? I mean the axles not falling out, but just a twitch of the steering wheel to the left and the noise goes away momentarily, any help appreciated, Kevin R.
