  1. Yes, I replaced the batteries in both remotes. They are 24 years old, pretty sure that's why they don't work. I would rather delete the alarm than get a new remote. I find unlocking the door with a key to be less of a burden than having a bulky remote in my pocket all day. I found this thread on theyukonforum that says it can't be deleted. I think I will disable the power locks on every door. That should give a work around. Car alarms are useless. Nobody thinks a car is being broke into when they hear one. Too many false positive for them to be effective.
  2. Greetings GM-trucks, first time on the forum. I've been fixing my own vehicles for the past 20 years of driving, but I'm no pro. I would like to disable the alarm on my 2000 GMC Yukon XL. I was hoping I could just pull a fuse, but it doesn't appear to be that simple. Electrical stuff has always been over my head, but I can follow directions and know how to use a multi-meter. My remotes no longer work, and for some stupid reason, the alarm goes off when I use the key to unlock the door. I'm not interested in a new remote, I like how much smaller my keychain is now. I know that unlocking the cargo door 3 times disables the alarm, but that's annoying to do every time.
