I have called several dealerships and asked this question, but no one seems to understand. I have a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE 5.3. I have RPO code AP8, which means that the equipment for remote start is installed and the computer just has to be flashed to enable it. My question is... Can a dealership program remote start and flash the computer without the kit that used to be available? (The kit with the two fobs and code for Techline.) If not, then I will be looking into aftermarket options, but I would like to use the factory system. Thanks in advance.
