Over the past 2 weeks I’ve had an issue with my truck shaking. It doesn’t happen often and seems to be at complete random. I first noticed it while I was on the highway; I was was cruising at 60 mph and all of a sudden the engine temp was rising much higher than normal in the truck started shaking. While it was shaking, it didn’t wanna go above around 2200 RPM. So I pulled over and let the truck cool down a little bit and it seem to drive normal after. This problem didn’t occur again until a few days later I was driving back home and then all of a sudden the the truck didn’t want to get above around 2000 to 2200 RPM and the truck was shaking a lot. After that this is happened two more times and seems to be a complete random.
I’ve had some other things happen that I don’t know how related they may be, but here they are. About a week before I started noticing the shaking, I was driving down an icy back Road and my tires were spinning a lot and my engine temp rose above normal. After that happened, my check engine light came on and started flashing. I pulled over turn the truck off and back on, the engine light then went away and the engine temp dropped back down to normal. The other thing I noticed was about four days ago I got in my truck to start it, and when it was in just accessory mode, a prompt came on my dashboard that said “service stabilitrak”. Just as soon as it came on it went away and I haven’t seen it since.
The shaking feeling almost feels as if I was in a manual vehicle and I was a gear too high for my speed, then hit the gas.
I don’t have any warning lights or prompts on my dash right now. I am very lost as to what this may be, any help/insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
