I've found and read most of the content on here about the lack of AutoDim, and the Rear View Mirror Options thread is a great resource, especially the post by @Semedar in August of 2019 with pictures.
So to solve my problem of NO AUTODIM, NO HOMELINK, I think I am going to replace the mirror with an AutoDim with integrated HomeLink (Like the Gentex 453).
I have read, and hope that the HomeLink is integrated into the mirror, and I only need to connect the mirror to the 10pin power harness in the overhead.
Now I LIKE the idea of using a Mirror that has a Compass and Temperature built in as well. I know I HAVE an ambient sensor on the Truck, since the temp shows up in the INFOTAINMENT CONSOLE when NOT USING Carlink.
So I guess the question I have is "How to a get the ambient Temperature signal to the overhead Rearview?" Which wire do I tap into to route the temp info to the mirror, and which wire does it connect to on the 10 pin/Mirror?
