    Recently purchased this 01 gmc with the 4.3 v6 and 5 speed iv got a 5.3 ready to swap in but not sure if tranny will take the change but I can’t for the life of me figure out what is in it iv been told Hm290/nv3500 but it don’t seem to look quite the same as ethier if those any help appreciated

    Hey guys looking to dig into this 01 sierra have a 5.3 ready to put in once the v6 is out but I can’t for the life of me find out what tranny is in this iv looked up multiple if not all but nothing seems to match what’s under the truck (5speed) any help appreciated
