  1. Trueblue- the intermediate shaft. It potentially could be! It has a little slop but bot to much. Do you think the sound could sound like it’s on passenger side of truck if it was the intermediate?
  2. Yes completely rebuilt front end. kryptonite upper arms and upper ball joints, sway bar end links for 0-2 inch lift, idler and bracket and pitman, hubs from GM, movotech TTX lower ball joints, ksp heavy duty tie rods, steer gear from GM. I did all work myself and am a stickler so it was done correctly. Noise was prior and post front end
  3. At this point the truck has 140k I bought it new. I’ve rebuilt the entire front end from ball joints to idler and bracket and pitman hubs, shocks, added steering stabilizer, and replaced gear box. The sound almost sound like it’s behind the dash on passenger side. I do hear it turning both ways but more turning to the right. I’m lost at this point ive retorqued the entire underside of truck. Corssmembers, u bolts, body/cab mounts. Any help!?!?
  4. I have a 22 with 120k miles on it and the torque converter went out. I’m look to replace with a good aftermarket converter that will handle towing well. I also am upgrading the trans cooler and line as well as the thermal bypass valve for the trans temp. Looking for recommendations
  5. Hey I have 120k miles trucks torque converter has been progressively gotten worse with the shuttering. I believe it’s time for a rebuild. I now have heard a knocking/tapping sound that is so light and high pitch I can’t hear it on video. I changed my oil about 100 miles ago and since have heard this sound coming from the oil pan/bell housing area also heard lightly infront of the truck. Does it at idle and in neutral. Not sure if it does it in drive or under load the sound is not sequential with the engines rotation. Could this be my converter? I’ve heard lifter failure and lifter knocking in my previous 5.3 trucks and it’s not like that at all. More out of time and random. If in park and I give it a little throttle the sound gets a little louder but still not in sequence with the engine. Almost a light popping sound more than a knock. Any help would be great before I spend the money on a trans and then have to turn around and rebuild the engine.
  6. The truck has 37” tires and a leveling kit trans fluid changed at 47k and 99k miles at gm. I know the tires don’t help I haul about 13-15k with the truck regularly. Does great just started having this issue. It also is making I high pitch knocking/clunking sound at idle and under load doesn’t sound like it’s coming from the engine
  7. Update: Have drained trans fluid and it’s slammed with clutch material. I’ve read and heard both that when it gets to that point it’s best to replace trans and get billet converter and pump housing I also got the thermal bypass valve ordered. I believe I’d like to go with a reman over rebuilt. Cost is very close either way. Any suggestions
  8. What’s the best aftermarket 6l90e? Don’t need anything built for power, I do a lot of hauling with the truck. I’m at 120k miles and the converter shutter has gotten very bad. Also best after market trans cooler?
  9. Have a 22 6.6 gas, 118k miles leveling kit with new upper arms. When turning left hitting the brakes more times than not I get a pop /clunk sounds like it’s coming from the passenger side. I’ve replaced many parts throughout the miles. Hubs, tie rods, upper ball joints and bushings. Been greased regularly. I’m about to do idler and pitman arm in the next week or two. Could this be a sound associated with play in my idler and pitman?
  10. Truck has 3 inch cognito leveling kit. Just replaced upper ball joints and tie rods inner and outer and hubs still have a rattle sound in front end. Truck has 100k on it use it for work.
