  1. I drive a 2023 2500HD that had the big tow mirrors and swapped out for the smaller 1500 looking mirror and it had the flat right glass…. I bought a replacement with the convex lens on eBay here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/395292807429?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6-eppd3rq6u&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=RGgzcfgPTia&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I created a thread in here with pictures documenting it, if further interested.
  2. My rear seat map lights aren’t working. Anyone know the wire routing or have a suggestion on how to diagnose and fix? They don’t turn on when the door opens or by pressing the clear lens or by pressing the button on the front seat console where the SOS and OnStar buttons are.
  3. Thanks @waltman, I think it was a low battery situation. I had left my dash cam powered on and my battery was drained. Once I charged, the engine check light has cleared.
  4. Engine light is on, used my Autel tire computer to read the code and it say P159F Anyone know what that means and why?
  5. Found these 1500 style mirrors with the built in corner tow and the passenger side is convexed for a wider view. I like them! overall very pleased with the swap. I’ll never tow with this truck, it is an urban environment work truck and swapping the mirrors to these work better for how I use it.
  6. Definitely happy with the sight line when turning at busy intersections and being able to see across the top of the mirror at cars stopped at their stop bar position. However the passenger side definitely needs a little tow mirror added and I’m working on that. I have a 600 mile trip this week for work, will have a better user review report after that.
  7. Good to know! Thanks for sharing that!
  8. I found a used set on eBay and purchased. Thanks again @newdude!!!
  9. You are awesome!!! That is exactly a mirror shape I am looking for!!! Thank you very, very much!

  11. Just turn signals and heat, no blind spot indicator. Any chance you have a link to a picture or a part number?
  12. Well that is very helpful to keep me from wasting time and money. thanks for posting @newdude
  13. The tow mirrors a too huge for us non-towing folks….trying to squint between the A pillar and the mirror body to avoid anything hidden behind is frustrating. Someone else may find this useful.
  14. Well, someone needs to brave the unknown, I’ll buy the pair and report back my findings
  15. Are you certain? I hate these tow mirrors. Is the door sheet metal at a different vertical angle or the hole location at a different height? Has anyone tried this swap?
  16. Guess I’ll risk it, try and report back my findings. Thanks @gemarsh
  17. I hate how the tow mirrors block sight lines. Anyone know if the 1500 mirrors will fit the bolt holes and the wiring is the same?
  18. In the third picture above of the panel that sits on the starting battery, lug 2 connects to the main fuse box that sits next to the auxiliary battery and lug 5 (has the red wire I removed connected) that connects to the panel on the auxiliary battery on lug 3. I found it interesting that on the main battery side it has a 100amp fuse and on the auxiliary side it also has a 100 amp fuse. One of the previous posts correctly stated that the relay to connect the auxiliary battery to the main battery only closes when the truck is running to charge the auxiliary battery and opens to isolate the auxiliary battery when the engine is not running. On the factory harness, each terminal plate is stamped with the lug number it is supposed to connect to and each one is shaped or keyed to only fit into the correct location due to the plastic extrusions separating each lug position.
  19. My 2023 came with the snowplow and auxiliary battery packages but it is a fleet vehicle and the upfitter that put on the bed cap, amber lights and a useless inverter altered the factory wiring to add an isolator and a voltage sensing disconnect and attempt to make the auxiliary battery work as a backup starting battery. It wasn’t wired correctly and on three mornings this winter, would not start due to a drained battery. So I ordered a new battery harness from Amazon for $127.83, took out what the upfitter installed and used this thread as a reference. Here is the wire harness link: https://a.co/d/cEONIcx The pictures I am adding hope upload in this order: Auxiliary Battery Starter Battery panel that sits on the starter battery panel that sits on the auxiliary battery
