  1. I did as much as I could, and honestly, I’m not as mechanically inclined as others in this forum. I googled “ticking noise from engine”, and results were about bad “lifters”, bad “fuel pump”, and a few others. But nothing that explicitly returned, “ticking noise normal for an electric high pressure fuel pump”. It wasn’t until I typed “is ticking noise normal for high pressure fuel pump” that I came across the information, but by then it was too late. but thanks for commenting and I appreciate your response! Good luck to everyone here!
  2. Took my 2020 Trail Boss with 50k miles in to Dealership due to a ticking sound that I was not familiar with coming from the engine. Dealership said it was fuel pump and would need to be replaced. The day after I picked it up, I heard the ticking sound again. I called the Dealership and technician said that "some" sound will occur due to the high pressure fuel pump being electric. The issue is, is that it was not just "some" sound, it is the exact same sound as when I dropped it off. So, in essence, the truck sounds the exact same as when I dropped it off to when I went to pick it up. I looked online about high pressure fuel pumps and apparently, ticking sound is normal for cold starts. So this is making think there was nothing wrong with the truck at all. Was I scammed? Any advice on what do to here?
