  1. i would do this in a heart beat but I lease my trucks and this is not an option. Hey Canada and America, how is the Just in time inventory system and reliance on foreign part supply working for you??? I am shocked that the there is not more companies, like GM, building their own parts now. The inability to source parts and not provide times lines in this day and age is mind boggling to me. This is an absolute disgrace.
  2. So, truck is still down. Looking at another month before def tanks are here at the earliest. Concern is, there is no guarantee that this will fix the problem. And to think I am one of the lucky ones. Many have had their trucks down longer than me, and my dealer was able to provide me with a loaner truck. GM better get their ****** together and quit leaving their customers and dealers hanging out to dry.

  4. Had "service emission system" warning come up followed by engine power derate. Dealer has since told me I need a new Def tank and there is zero in stock anywhere and zero timelines provided as to when there will be some available. Truck is unusable and here I am without as there are no loaner/rental vehicles available for use. I have a ZR2 on order, with no build date. Needless to say, I am one VERY unhappy GM customer! I really feel for my dealer as they are great to work with and this problem is totally out of their control. Sorry, just had to vent. I thought I would post this to see if I am the only one. Misery loves company!
  5. I have had to replace one glow plug so far. 68,000 km on my truck. Failed about 15,000 kms ago, didnt impact anything except you could no longer use command start. If you live in a colder environment, i strongly caution you against buying this truck UNLESS you are going to do the DEF delete. My truck needs a new def tank and there is zero in stock, zero in production and zero information on a potential date. Power has be derated and truck is basically rendered useless. I am one extremely unhappy customer.
  6. Just noticed the different camera options on your screen over my 19. Also noticed the nice rides you have. Is that an Srt4 Jeep? You must live in a similar climate to me, lots of snow.
  7. Crap, sorry DirtyAndy. Not my intention. Have a good one. Cheers
  8. LOL, no, because of the design of the motor. Aluminum block is not as reliable as the cast iron block. Thats proven. The previous post mentioned that the 6.2 l motor was a work horse motor, and i pointed out that it wasn't meant to be the constant hauler, puller, etc, which it is not. A high compression aluminum block motor ultimately is not a work horse. Why do you think its not offered in the 2500's? Thats not to say it cant tow and haul here and there. I do that with mine. Have a good day.
  9. Much more fun to drive than my 6.0L i must say! I am seriously considering going back to Dodge........I am a fan of their interiors and I have had good success with the Hemi. I may regret that decision though lol
  10. Very true, the 2" lift definitely doesn't help the fuel mileage cause between the two trucks. I just looked it up and noticed that the curb weight of the AT4 is actually 500 lbs less than the AT4. Never would have thought that. Oh well, it is what it is. Not all motors get the same gas mileage.
  11. Technically thats not true. This isn't a work horse motor, its more of a race horse motor. With a cast Aluminum block its not meant for heavy work, that would be the 6.0 l engine. I buy whatever floats my boat. Driving style ultimately dictates gas mileage. Having said that, if i can get better gas mileage, thats a bonus. The difference between my 2019 and 2016 is a lot, thats my concern. Glad yours does well for ya!
  12. I am using the exact same fuel I have always used, dyed 87 octane. I used it in my 2016 6.2 and i am using it in this truck so I am totally comparing apples to apples in that sense. I find it odd that i am experiencing such a huge difference between the two trucks. I assume this truck weighs more than my 16 denali, haven't looked into that.
  13. Damn envious of many of you. Wonder why the big difference between vehicles? I was hoping this truck would impress me. The 6.2 in my denali did. I was lured to the dark Ram side again and resisted but am not overly pleased with this truck.
  14. I normally drive at 77 mph but when i do my mileage tests i set it at 62 mph, same as i would do with my 16 Denali. What makes it even worse is these ****** ass small gas tanks as was mentioned earlier. I cant even get close 300 miles to a tank. Brutal! I had a 2018 2500 LTZ Night edition truck last, even though it rode like a railway tie and had crappy zip to it, its gas mileage was comparable to my AT4 but, it had the large tank. Beauty.
  15. I have a 2019 AT4 with 6.2L 20" rims everything stock. Truck is terrible on fuel. 12-14 mpg. My 2016 1500 Denali with 6.2L beats it by 10 mpg easily. Very very disappointed with the fuel mileage of this truck. 38,000 km on this truck. Will be looking at getting rid of this truck in the next 6 months.
