I see a lot of anecdotal information about Silverado transmission, AFM, and lifter issues and, of course, dissatisfied owners are always the most vocal about problems on GM truck forums but is there any solid information available about what percentage of models are actually plagued by these issues? I've got a 2016 5.3 reg. cab 4x4 with 29k miles that's in excellent condition with no problems that I could sell for only a couple thousand less than I paid for it seven years ago and I'm trying to decide whether to keep it or sell before I might need to spend thousands on it for inevitable repairs if, indeed there's a high likelihood of problems occurring.

My truck is always garaged at home but I get concerned on road trips when I'm staying in motels, etc. It'd be a big inconvenience to deal with on the road.

Is there a spec. for the physical location on the windshield for the wipers blades, like so many inches from the air intake cowl or another reference point? I just had the windshield replaced and I think they removed/replaced the wiper arms so I want to verify the location. Edit: Not OEM glass so no marks on the windshield to use. Maybe someone with OEM glass could tell me the measurement from the top edge of the air intake cowl where it sits against the glass to the marks on the glass.

Looking for recommendations for shields for catalytic converter theft protection on my 2016 Silverado 5.3L.

I want to add SXM satellite radio to my 2016 Silverado with the 7" touch-screen radio (RPO IOB) and have found an aftermarket radio module but want to know if the existing shark fin antenna will work for SXM or if it needs to be replaced with a different one.

Just removed the front license plate bracket from my new 2016 1500 LS. Three small, barely noticeable holes remain, two on top and one on the bottom. Much better.
