  1. Installed some smoke tail lights over the weekend.
  2. So the next project for the truck is a full front end rebuild. I've already got newer tie rods installed, but I need everything else. I ordered an idler arm last night to start with. I'm going to collect the parts and tear it down to figure out which pitman arm I need, and then I'll pick one up and put it all back together.
  3. I didn't know that they made filter wrenches...
  4. Yea the oil pan design definitely didn't help me out any. Does that kit work pretty well? The one I have from Advance Auto is a joke.
  5. Changed the oil. Couldn't get the filter off so I had to resort to punching a screw driver through it. I think it was tight because last time I changed the oil the trucks engine was full temperature, and this time it was cold. First time I've ever had to get one off that way.
  6. Thanks! It would look good, but I like to keep the everyday use pieces on the truck stock plastic.
  7. Thanks! I sanded it until the chrome became thin and then I used a razor blade to peel it off.
  8. Before and After pictures
  9. More of the painting process, and the finished product.
  10. Going through the painting process.
  11. Finally got her fixed up and out of the garage.
  12. Finished up body work on the grille, and the cab of the truck.
  13. Finished up the body work on the cab today. Not much to do on the bed. Also got the grille ready for primer as well.
  14. Decided to separate the grille shell from the rest of the grille. Currently prepping it for paint. Also went to the junkyard today. Had to get a new interior trim piece I broke during the rocker panel repair, some weather stripping, and a fuel door since mine was rusted. Only cost me $20.
  15. So yesterday I spent a full day on the truck again. I got a 2nd coat of POR-15 on the frame, and a 3rd coat underneath on the new inner rocker panels. I also got some body work done to the passenger side, and all of the chrome stripped off of the grille.
  16. Re-painted the frame yesterday using POR-15 this time around. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  17. So all of the panels are on and the blue has been sprayed. We're waiting until it warms up more to paint all of the silver on the truck.
  18. Thanks! I had to go all out to completely get rid of the rust. Dad and I got all of the panels welded in last night on the passenger side so all that is left is some body work. Even after that's done we still have to wait until it warms up some to be able to paint.
  19. Made some progress over the weekend.
  20. Turned the truck around today and started tear down on the passenger side. I also got my bumper brackets back from the blaster and started painting them. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  21. All of the new steel is finished being welded in on the drivers side. I'll be starting on the passenger side this week. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  22. Picked up some new door pins and bushings from Napa. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  23. Didn't get much done today besides getting more welding gas. Here are some pictures leading up to where it's at now Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
