  1. Just wanted to share this about my truck. Hopefully it can help someone. Transmission temperature after about 35 minutes of city driving is at 117 degrees. I live in Vegas and the temperature outside is currently 49 degrees. I have a newly rebuilt transmission with a billet torque converter. I got a tune right after the rebuild. Also had a PPE trans pan installed with the rebuild which holds an extra 1.5 quarts. I have the trans thermostat bypass. I have an external cooler as well. I also just installed an all aluminum Cold Case radiator since my year old radiator decided to develop a small crack. I just installed a 160 thermostat and retuned it for the fans to come on sooner. This thing is dialed in. Can’t wait to see how everything works this July when it’s 115 degrees outside and I’m towing my machines on the freeway at 80 mph. I threw every trick in the book at this thing.
  2. I have a 2014 GMC Sierra with the 5.3. I had a CSF radiator installed just over a year ago and it's already leaking. It is out of the warranty period. I initially thought I'd just go with the Mishimoto one but as I was telling this to a friend he told me I should check out the Cold Case Radiators. I'm not finding much information on the CC one and just a little on the Mishimoto. So, my question is do any of you have the CC one installed and what has your experience been with it? Was it a direct fit as they claim. It's significantly cheaper than the Mishimoto one by around $400. I live in Vegas and tow a bit so cooling is important as well as reliability and durability from parts. Thanks in advance for your 2 cents.
  3. Does anyone know what happened to this guy? I know this is a very old thread. I tried sending him a message and it would not go through. He said his shop is in Vegas and I’m in Vegas, so I thought he could help me on a local level.
  4. So, I have a strange one fellas. The dealership replaced my headlights from an insurance claim. After the new headlights were installed the upper and lower light bars didn't work. They told me that it is controlled by the dash sensor. I made sure it was clean and still nothing. I took it back to have them do some Sherlock Holmes work on it. They got back to me and said the headlight ballast aren't compatible and they ordered new ones. All he could figure is there must have been a design change and the new headlights weren't compatible without upgrading those. Has anyone heard of this? This just sounds weird to me. Smells kinda funny too.
  5. I’ve done all of that. Once the air box is completely out you have to contort your arm and hand in such a manor that you have no strength to grip and twist the build out. The main reason for my post was to hear from someone who has done it to see if there is some special tool or other trick. The hole to access is just too small for my big meat hooks to twist it out. Drivers side is no problem...
  6. I’m pretty sure these trucks are meant to be scrapped once it’s time to change the turn signal bulbs for the 2014 GMC’s ?. Has anyone successfully done it? If so how? Please help!!! Tried the search. Thanks in advance.
