Hey all. So, my father's 2017 Silverado (base level cluster) shows if the truck is in 8 cyl or 4 cyl AFM mode in the DIC. However, I cannot seem to find any way to tell what AFM mode I am in on my 2020 Sierra 1500 with the base level cluster/DIC. Does anyone have any clue how you can tell what mode the truck is running in? The main reason I'm asking is because I want to get one of the Range AFM disablers, and I'd like to see, live, if it ever switches in to 4 cyl mode. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

I have a 2006 GMC 2500. The problem I have now is dimming of the DIC and mirror display. I can be driving on a bright sunny day, and at any time the DIC will dim. The mirror temp and compass display will also dim and will be unreadable it is so faint. The two displays will dim at different times. I have auto-on lights and daytime running lights. Is this related to the cold solder issue I see in other topics? Thanks again!

Hey Gang, I just bought a 2018 Silverado 1500 LTZ. Love it. However, I drove a different one before my purchase and it had a cool Speed Limit indicator next to the digital speedometer, which tells me the speed limit on the road I'm driving. (Lots of speed traps where I go, so thought it would be handy. When I got mine, I tried to turn it on and it does not appear to be available. Asked my dealer and they are stumped as to why it is not available. Is there a patch or something that is required to have this feature? Its been around since '14, so not a new feature. I looked it up on line and the GM site says (The feature requires GM's Next-Gen Infotainment (NGI) systems, which is typically assigned GM RPO code IO5 or IO6. But I can't find any reference to this either? Thoughts?

Hi, after removing battery for charging, the odometer changed from kilometers to miles, and resets to 0. Start counting, but stopped at 16 miles. Anyone? Mu DIC also doesn't work, I have buttons on the steering wheel. It started with a bad IPC, bought a used one, moved the eeprom from the bad to the new, correct kilometers showed up, but then the battery became empty after a few days, removed it for charging. Just a quick question if anyone else has noticed this or had this problem. On my way home on the same highway I always take with the same fuel, load etc.. I noticed on the DIC that my mpg tracker was fluctuating a pretty decent amount. Normally it bounces between 1-2 MPGs at steady highway speed but tonight it had a 5-7 MPG fluctuation. I have a blackbear tune with v4 delete, Cai, oil catch can and Borla cat back exhaust. I didn't notice any surging or pulsation of the rpms gauge and there wasn't any wind at all pushing me around. Kind of confused what's going on here.. 2014 GMC Sierra 5.3L 4wd

I’m troubleshooting a Right rear door ajar message on my 2003 Sierra 1500hd. I’ve looked at the wiring diagram and am more confused now! Here is what I have done and the results: All doors closed, start truck, put in gear, receive message: Right rear door ajar. All doors open, start truck, put in gear, receive messages for each door...which is what I would expect I then unplugged the connector to the BCM (located above the brake pedal) and did the following test: All doors closed, start truck, put in gear, receive message: Right rear door ajar. ??? How does it know anything? All doors open, start truck, put in gear, receive messages: Driver D A, Pass D A, Right rear door ajar . How does it know? Why did it not say the left rear door was ajar? I opened the door panel and verified the ground was good and then it got more weird. According to the wiring diagram, the lead going to the BCM from the Right rear door is Lt. grn/blk. Well it is Lt.grn/blk at the BCM connector, but at the door it is Lt.blu/blk. So I checked the left door. Diagram says it is Lt. Blu/blk and that is correct/ what I found. Conclusion: Even though I was surprised by the wire color everything toned out ok. So while I think the problem is with the door latch or the BCM, I really need some suggestions.

Hey guys, What do you guys prefer to show up on your DIC? I know we have many options, such as trip, fuel eco, tires, speed, etc. Which one do you keep it at or use most? I tried keeping it at music source but it's a duplicate of what's on the infotainment already on my avalanche I use oil life.

I just recently found out about the tilt indicator in my truck and I would like to see some pictures of it in action! How about this I'm going to start with my picture of 1% tilt and let's see how far we can get the tilt indicators to go SAFELY please!!!! Every % counts highest for left or right and for forward or backwards. It would be great to see a picture of the DIC and the truck on the grade (if you can of course). *I take no responsibility if someone does not use common sense or if this game is a bad idea in the first place

I was wondering about upgrading my small cluster in my 2015 sierra WT to the multi-color/4.2 inch cluster. Is this something that is possible? The connectors are the same on the back so I guess all the wiring is there and its just a matter of getting the BCM programmed. Any info would be great!

Hello, I have a 2015 Denali and the Driver Information Center / cluster screen has a navigation tab. This gives the driver a map view and it is zoomed in to almost an unusable level. It appears to be auto zoomed based on speed but even at highway speeds it's zoomed more than I'd like. Does anyone know if this is adjustable? Thanks in advance.

A few weeks ago, the TPMS light on my truck came on and the DIC read: REAR TIRES PSI LEFT 33 RIGHT 0 I immediately pulled over to check, but all the tires were perfectly inflated. I clicked the DIC button to elimiate the message, but the TPMS light stayed on. The following day when I turned on the truck, the TPMS light came on immediately, and this time the DIC read that both rear tires were under-inflated (I checked again and they were fine). A few days later it started giving false readings about the front left tire too. It has remained the same ever since, the DIC will randomly display false PSI readings while driving. If I reset it (while driving), the DIC will go back to the mileage display for a while, then a few minutes later it will go back to the false display of 3 out of the 4 tires. It has never mentioned anything about the front right tire. The TPMS idiot light has been permanently on since the issues began. It is extremely distracting and annoying, I've searched the web and haven't found anyone having the same issues. Last thing I'll mention is that when it was about 2 years old, the dealer fixed the "Service TPMS System" failure under warranty and had been fine until two weeks ago. Original owner, bone stock, 79K miles.
