2020 gmc denali HD has heat but right vent on drivers side blows cold. Tried cycling the system through all its functions with no change. Just the 1 vent will not blow heat the dealer said the actuator doors are working and want to remove the dash to replace the heater core. All the other vents blow heat just not the right drivers side so I thought it was unusual to replace the heater core. Any insight is appreciated

New 2020 Silverado 2500 diesel, newly retired, bought truck to tow a travel trailer. I've been a GM customer and amateur mechanic for over 50 years. I had not driven a 3/4 ton truck for decades, when I test drove a new 2500 I simply was stunned by the ride quality, to say the mechanical engineers have made improvements would be a world class understatement. The power, ride quality and tow features (mirrors and cameras) sold me within weeks of shopping. The size is a little off-putting but after only 8 weeks I have compensated for parking and maneuvering a very large pickup. The truck draws some jokes about its size but I absolutely love the towing performance, it is a worthwhile trade-off for me.

I have a 2001 2500 HD with ZF6 6 speed manual transmission 4*4, I bought the truck at a deal and am finding out why......it's a unicorn...lol. I am just a blue collar worker like most of the rest of us and can't afford the $3500 price tag on a rebuilt trans especially since I don't have a $1000 core transmission to trade them. I still have the transfer case and driveshafts and all other parts to the 4*4 trans..I found a 2wd ZF6 6 speed trans with only 140,*** miles on it I can get at a steal and am wondering if I can change tail shaft and make the 2wd into a 4*4 transmission? Any help would be greatly appreciated even possibly part #'s if possible.....I guess I can drive the truck as a 2wd if I have to but 4wd is one reason I bought the truck....BTW this is my first diesel so any and all help is appreciated..... ONE I WILLIE

I have a 1997, 2500 6.5L Diesel Suburban with an intermittent fuel problem. The vehicle will start pulsating as if it is losing power then surging back, the amount of drop off and surging is proportional to the speed you are going at. While idling it hardly shows on the tack, but at 65-70 it will be 500-600rpm. It will also jack rabbit from a stop when you give the least amount of pedal. I have replaced the pressure pump, fuel filter, fuel cap, and accelerator pedal. My mechanic and I were told to check for air in the fuel line and didn't see any, did a visual inspection of the fuel line and didn't see anything. My mechanic and I are at our wits end does anyone have an idea of what it could be. In the mean time I'm driving it till it dies then I might be able to find the problem.
