Every lot I go to has the black trucks out front and the white WT (Work Truck) base models with the rubber floors out behind the service center! Hmmmmm.......
On the flip side, when I detailed cars many years ago, I loved getting a white vehicle in. Only trouble is getting ALL of the road tar off first. After that, buffing and paint touch up is a breeze. Pinstriping jumps out at you, also.
When I bought mine, I initially looked at a Black truck with lite interior, and a Red with Gray interior, because like you I was under the assumption that white meant no goodies. The black one was pretty much a plain Jane. The red one was a work truck with floor shift 4wd that my wife couldn,t move the lever in. I then looked at the White truck which was setting on the front row with all the signs and lites around it and it was only missing a couple accessories from being fully loaded. It listed for about 1/3 more than both of the others. There are things on it that I don't need or use but I'd rather be spoiled with goodies so I bought the white one.
Yup, my white truck is only missing the outside temp and G80..... Wish it has the G80 thou..... But I know how to fix that... Edgewise she is loaded..
Jbo
Mines got everything but leather and heated mirrors. g80 is nice.
