  1. it would be a BS move on the dealership to cry you modified your emissions system and void it but it could be possible just get to know your service writer and you can usually figure out what they will and will not tolerate
  2. I used this on my work truck and I can say without a doubt it brought the 4.3 back to life it had 90,000 on it at that point. I just redone it at 115,000 and it is still running great. Here is a video of how to do it
  3. actually I was not predisposed but since I am buying again I decided to go back to heavy duty since I am probably going to trade my motorcoach and will probably get a fifth wheel camper this time around. The service writers even know there is an issue and mine even says they are having their hands tied by GM by mickey mousing the customers about the issues with the trucks. I liked the truck but give me a break buddy I have owned more GM for personal vehicles than any other brand. But I do like to be able to travel somewhere without having a foot message and like for my drinks to be stirred but not shaken. I still have the 4.3 which I must say has been good so far however they are having a hell of a time getting the plugs out of it and told me today they wanted to keep it for another day which is fine by me - went in for a timing cover leaking and at 81K I told them to change all the fluids and tune her up so I did not have to come back till next year ;)
  4. Fixed my vibration - Ordered my new Dodge Ram 3500 Limited and got this to toot around town until my truck arrives in Late July - Early August
  5. GM DOES NOT CARE they have bigger fish to fry - such as profit margins - as long as the Silverado secret is out there and they have the wool pulled over the NHTSA eyes there will be nothing done. They should bill the Silverado as the first truck built exclusively for the ladies - we have models that will please any woman from bumper to bumper we assure you the largest vibrator on the road ;) Just throwing more fuel on the fire
  6. I would say the sampling is as just as large as the Silverado considering it has been outselling it for about half of the year
  7. Wow never knew this I have owned several and the last three had 20s? Maybe it was beginning with the 13 model year I do not know last one I owned was a 2011 and it was by far the best one I ever had
  8. I say none of those exist on any I have owned - my last ram had 44s and ran true and the front end lasted for 62K with 44s. Never ran into an electrical issue NEVER and do not know any on DTW that ever cited that as ever an issue or vibration. Maybe in Canada there may be some issue but I have not saw or heard about those in the states and I was a member of the largest mopar forum for years and still frequent it so this post has me somewhat confused. Only reason I came over to GM was I lost my local Dodge dealership and would have to travel 110 miles to complete anything that would occur, sort of thinking it may be worth the trip now.
  9. GM suggest this may be the cure for some vibs http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=3296
  10. I notice sometimes when turning the wheel on uneven surfaces the software for the electric steering makes it sort of vibrate wonder if the software for the system is being too aggresive creating the steering wheel vibration? AND it makes me curious with the proximity to the thin floorboard if this is not what is being felt there too - hmmmmmmm
  11. here is the person from Congress who is investigating GM currently send Claire McCaskill a message about the vibration and the cover up http://www.mccaskill.senate.gov/?p=contact
  12. and your point of adding to it by posting twice with not discernible information
  13. I agree I have a work truck 4.3L and my personal truck - work truck has 61+K on it now and has never vibrated - I had another truck besides the one I currently have they went through drive shafts, axles, wheels and tires and no fix so they traded me out. Now the one I have now had similar vibrations and I let air from the tires and it seems to have helped but still I believe there is a common issue or a manufacturing miscue that is causing this. GM should step up to the plate and not let this become a litigious point in a company that is already in hot water over trying to push things under the rug. The mere fact they are sending engineers and buying back trucks is enough to know there is an issue. Oh and I have owned plenty of trucks to know how they drive. I have a one ton that does not vibrate and it has currently over 1.6 million showing on the odometer and the diesel and it have aging issues but not weird vibrations. Sort of sad I traded a perfectly good personal truck in on 14 when the 13 was just fine.
  14. has anyone read anywhere that there is an attorney from Texas is seeking information concerning the vibration issues in the new trucks for class action? From what my co-worker just told me it was on the news? I scanned my news channels as well as national and cannot find it.
