    ok,its fixed!! i replaced the cowl grille plastic assembly at the base of the windshield. i also added some cloth tape to the area where it clips to the base of the cowl and the u shaped clips that go to the bottom of the windshield. all good, this truck has no other mouldings anywhere but the cowl piece.

    ok,thanks. those earlier trucks are different at that cowl area. ive had it since new with the deflector,it didnt start doing this until like a few years ago. ill keep checking. Its not a whistle, Its a weird crack or crackling sound. very strange

    yes, i took it off and its still there, it really sounds like right at base of windshield

    on my 2015 Hd gasser i hear this crackling sound at highway speeds ,sounds like its coming from the base of the windshield. thought it was the cowl plastic covers, i took out the plastic pin clips and put screws in to tighten that up. noise still there. Anybody had this? thanks

    hey does anybody know if you can use the square coils in place of the round coils on our trucks? my 2015 6.0 has the round ones now.

    hey,anyone seen this. i just installed Philips leds in my 2015 low beams,they work nice,but i just noticed that the high beams dont come on when the switch is in the Auto position,they only work when you have the switch all the way over to the right or pull back on the stalk. i still have regular bulbs in the high beams now. they did work initially when i 1st put the leds in. no codes in any modules either. hmm

    hey, i used to see when somebody had an issue with their truck on the forum here that GM would chime in with some help/guidance especially when the dealer isnt much help. i havent seen them on here in a while posting anything. Has anybody noticed this ? just wondering as i have a friend with a newer Colorado that could use GM s help.

    we have a landscaper with a 2015 Hd 6.0 and hes been through 3 starters. it did do that when they went bad, just a suggestion.

    hello,can you feel it or hear it, once in a while i noticed my 2015 Hd has some sort of knocking or maybe a little play i feel in the steering wheel when turning slow or maybe going around bends slow. shafts are tight as is the whole linkage. kinda of thinking its in the steering box.

    cannot open the pictures, pretty sure you can load them into the post so that they are visable without opening anything up.

    hey,theres no pictures of the wheels here,that may help. Also,hey GM!! how come none of you are chiming in here on this?? i see other people posting issues with their vehicles here on the forum and you guys always respond with some kind of help or guidance how to move foward with a problem,especially when the dealer is no help. what a shame.

    oh yeah i know the reason why. if the government would stay put of our vehicles and stop with this mandating mileage/emissions etc. we wouldnt have to worry about shutting off cylinders and not having enough vacuum for brakes for crying out loud. its not just GM, i work on Volvos and they have aux vacuum pumps for the brakes as well. although the models that the vacuum pump uses engine oil doesnt have the GM issue.

    so glad i have the HD that doesnt have that crap.

    true,but why cant they build an engine that makes enough vacuum for the power brakes. were not running some high lift cammed drag car here.

    yup,that really stinks. this is the way of the of the Automobile these days,all the manufacturers relying on software to fix issues,instead of actually fixing the correct way. and its not just GM they all do it.

    yes the HD trucks have the Hydrovac setup. i dont recall seeing any vacuum pumps on them. i see they do mention 2500 and 3500 trucks though. my 2015 HD doesnt have any external vacuum pump.

    part number 22818466. brand new left front door panel that was ordered for a 2012 Hd Work truck silverado extended cab model. its the light/dark titanium color, for power window trucks. i dont know what other models it fits,like a 1500 or a standard cab. if you do a search for the part it may show that. i never used it and the truck has been sold a while ago. i dont remember how much i paid for it. asking $ 190.00 plus ship,thanks.

    yeah,that kinda stinks. I just don't like em on except for bad weather etc. being a mechanic for many years I get tired of changing burned out bulbs and melted plugs and wiring in the headlamp assemblies. that's why I always disabled them on my cars. maybe at some point someone will chime in with a fix for us. thanks
