I don't have the address with me, but there are two addresses in your warranty book to inform GM in writing of warranty complaints. One is for CA, the other is for outside CA. -

^^ A lemon law buyback demand letter from an attorney and a complaint filed with BBB will get GMs attention. Otherwise, they know they can dick you around as long as they want. Im speaking from experience. -

^^^^ If they are using Lemon Law guidelines for your state, look them up and see what they are. Im paying ~150.00 total for my "usage" on my buyback. Thats one hundred and fifty dollars. AL lemon law, thats the formula that GM is using for my buyback as stated in the buyback offer letter, allows the following for usage. "A reasonable allowance for use is that amount directly attributable to use by the consumer before his first report of the nonconformity to the manufacturer, agent, or authorized dealer, and must be calculated by multiplying the full purchase price of the motor vehicle by a fraction having as its denominator 100,000 and having as its numerator the number of miles that the vehicle travelled before the first report of nonconformity." I first reported my "nonconformity" or "vibration" at ~400 miles and bought it new at ~200 miles. Theyre also giving me credit for every payment I made. Im only paying the usage fee and nothing else. Im getting credit in the buyback for taxes, registration, all payments and dealer fees. Basically making me whole as if it never happened. Im NOT getting paid back for over 1500.00 in PTO taken from work and time and gas back and forth to the dealer to deal with my 2014 POS. Dealer is 60 mi round trip from me and Ive made umpteen trips. Im willing to let that go in light of the fact that Im only paying ~150.00 usage to drive this truck for 6 months. When we finalized the figures, I said DEAL. -

Funny thing happened on my way back from buying another vehicle to replace my lemon. I asked a friend to ride with me. I made a good deal and bought an SUV on the spot. My friend drove my 2014 Silverado lemon back home and I drove the new to me SUV. Ive never followed my Silverado before. As I was following the Silverado, I noticed it was dog tracking. When looking at the truck from behind while driving, the front wheels are not aligned with the rear wheels. They are off to the left of the back wheels by a few inches. This is sometimes caused by a bent frame after an accident, or by a misaligned rear axle, or other causes. No damage to the frame that I can tell. Not something I expected to see on a brand new truck with 3K miles that Ive never even taken off road, much less wrecked. I bought it new with ~200 miles on it. I was told it was a dealer transfer. Now, I wonder..... Oh well, it will soon be GMs problem since they are buying it back. -

Advice? Yes. Keep at it if you arent satisfied. Dont let them buffalo you. File a complaint with BBB Autoline and follow through. Send GM a certified letter ASAP and offer a Final Repair Attempt. Templates are available online for what info that letter needs to include. Contact a Lemon Law attorney and get some free advice. My Lemon Law attorney is Alex Simanovsky and he does great work. Yes. The buyback offer letter from GM arrived today. -

brandonbvr, I had a misfire with my 2014 Silverado. CEL came on, Traction Control light came on and both stayed on till it was fixed. A coil had an internal short. Believe me, you will know if its a misfire. Runs like chit, no power, engine shakes BAD. pm 26, I hear ya, I bought my 2012 Silverado EC without even test driving it. Ran great, smooth as butter as fast as I wanted to go. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. Been kicking myself ever since I traded it for this 2014 CC POS. -

4x4, I hope the Michelin LTs fix your vibe. My dealer put on a set of Michelins under warranty trying to fix the vibe. All they did for mine was make the ride cushier. Still vibrated. When I took it back and told them that it wasnt fixed and left it there for further repair, they took back the new tires and put MY factory tires, that they had SAVED, back on my truck. They also scratched and scarred my factory 20" polished wheels while doing all this. Idiotic cheapskate incompetent boobs. -

IMO, the issue with why GM helps some customers out with their problem trucks right away with repair, trade assist or buyback and why GM fights some people all the way to BBB/court boils down to the dealership where you take your problem 2014 for repair. Some dealership service managers seem to be honest, admit there IS a problem after driving your truck and try to fix your truck. Some trucks are even successfully fixed with replacing this or that. Some service managers realize they cant fix the problem, after trying to do so, and tell that to GM and the 2014 owner may then get a trade assist or buyback offer from GM without further action from the customer. Other service managers, mine for example, appear to be incompetent or obtuse. They insist that a tire balance will fix the vibration, and afterward insist that it IS fixed even as you drive them down the road and show them that the vibration still obviously exists. The evidence of which is the violently shaking console between the aforementioned service manager and myself at 70 mph. This service manager then tells GM that nothing is wrong with the truck. GM takes the word of this dubiously named "expert" and says that they will do nothing further to repair something that is "operating as designed". Then you have to fight with GM all the way and force them to take action primarily with a BBB Autoline complaint and eventually heading toward a lemon lawsuit. -

No doubt, same here. A summer of stress and lost time and cash with a BRAND NEW TRUCK that I should have been enjoying instead of driving it to the dealer every week, week after week, while they pretended not to know what I was talking about and GM stalled and fake apologized and stalled and waited for me to give up and go away. If GM had actually admitted the problem to me and made a sincere effort to repair it and then stepped up with a replacement when they couldnt, it would be a different story for me. What they did was piss me off and make me determined to have this work out in MY favor. Making me (and umpteen hundreds or thousands of 2014 owners) feel like its all in our heads, its NORMAL, and theres nothing wrong with our trucks and that we should shut up and go away is the WRONG way to solve this problem. ^THIS^ LOL, I thought the same thing about colonossus too. -

Multiple names so you could stir the pot from many directions? Multiple names because you stirred the pot too many times and got banned? If the crying bothers you so much, why come here and read it? Dont bother to reply. I wont feed you any more. Of course, you could just change names and go at it again from another angle. -

So, you dont even have a dog in this hunt then. No 2014 silverado with or without problems? Just couldnt resist coming into this thread and sharing your dissenting, uninformed, opinion? To what end? Argument? Conflict? Are you a troll? -

New Michelins didnt fix mine. Glad for those of you that did get your truck vibration fixed that way, or fixed in any way. AFA class action lawsuits, I dont know everything about them, but it always seems that when I hear about them being settled, the people who had actual damages are awarded pennies on the dollar, while the law firm representing the class action gets millions. Im not interested in making more lawyers millionaires while Im left feeling shorted. -

Ive had my truck to the dealer about 15 times since July when I bought it. They tried to give me small car loaners a couple times. I refused them. I bought a TRUCK, not a small car. Im a big tall guy and I dont FIT in small cars very well. I have used about 1100 bucks in PTO from work, a couple hundred bucks in gas, dealer is 60 miles round trip from my house. I can only take PTO from work in 4 hour increments, so, 4 hours off every time I take it there, 4 hours off every time I pick it up, unless its a weekend. I burned up about 50 hours PTO so far, so I dont get to take Christmas week off this year to spend with my family. I have to work because of GM and this POS truck. GM doesnt care and has only offered me 250 bucks in GM accessories after I asked for 1000 cash in compensation. Whats 250 in GM bucks buy? A couple exhaust tips? I declined. I will get all my expenses back in court when I make GM EAT this MoFo POS. -

^ Wow, a couple weeks after you contacted BBB? Thats fast. I went back and read your posts about this issue. You had an assistant service manager that worked with you and agreed there was a problem with your truck and actually tried to fix it. After several tries, Im assuming he then told GM that he couldnt fix it? THATS the difference in dealing with GM on this or any other issue. I brought up the vibe with my selling dealer on DAY 2 of ownership, July 2014, filed with BBB in early Oct, and am STILL fighting with GM about it. I finally hired an attorney. My dealership service manager has said all along, no vibration, operating as designed. THAT has been the hurdle to overcome. Short version. If your dealer helps, GM will fast track a buyback or trade assist. If your dealer doesnt help, its an uphill battle. -

Some people get lucky and have a dealership that agrees there is a prob with the truck and the dealership actually tries to fix it. Sometimes they hit on the right series of repairs and it works to fix the prob. Or, their delaership admits they cant fix it, tells GM and then there is GM trade assistance or a GM buy back offer. Other people, like myself, have a dealership that refuses to admit there is a problem and will do nothing to help beyond balancing the tires. Then you call GM cust care (oxymoron) and they say they wont help either because the dealership says there isnt a problem with the truck. They tell you to take it for a second opinion at another dealer, but they wont help you do that either, and the second and third Chevy dealers tell you bluntly, "You didnt buy it from us, so we wont help you". Evidently GM allows them to do that without penalty. Then you contact BBB Autoline and file a complaint and they talk to GM and suddenly, GM wants to help you, and the dealership wants to help you. Only, the dealership doesnt really want to help at all, so they just keep balancing tires and telling you "Its Fixed, Rides Like A Caddy". You drive over AGAIN to test drive it and its BS. Still vibrates. Then the dealer tells you that as far as their concerned, its fixed. So, you hire a lawyer. -

Got my truck back from the Official Final Repair Attempt. New rear shocks, and they took off the new Michelins and put 2 of my factory GY tires (the ones that actually came on my truck from the factory) back on with 2 new GYs. Still vibrates. Moving on to finish the BBB Autoline arbitration, then Lemon Law. -

Sounds like what Im dealing with. Some people are lucky when they have a problem and have a dealership service manager on their side to help smooth the way with GM. I dont. My selling dealer service manager is an "Operating As Designed" type, and GM customer service (oxymoron) has been ZERO help, so Ive been fighting my way through all this on my own, starting with BBB Autoline and eventually with an attorney. Sometimes you gotta MAKE a company do the right thing. -

Ive felt like that since the second time I took it in for the vibration. I immediately got the impression from them that I was the problem for continuing to complain. Ive always been polite when addressing anyone concerned with this issue. So, I just continued to be polite, and insistent that something IS wrong with the truck, despite the "operating as designed" diagnosis. As I exhausted the remedies available to me, I escalated my case as needed. First the dealer, then GM cust care, then BBB Autoline, and now an attorney. The truck is at the dealer for the final repair attempt with the GM engineer. Maybe they can fix it, or maybe they will balance the tires yet AGAIN.
