  1. Did you ever figure out if it was the BCM? My Tahoe is doing the same thing.
  2. Quick update. Had the exhaust put on and it does sound extremely good, but it didn’t fix the issue. Turns out, the torque converter is shot and needs replaced. Good thing is, the transmission was just rebuilt 5,000 miles ago, so it should be under warranty. It was making the noise every time the tcc would lock and unlock.
  3. I have a 18” Magnaflow ordered and will have it installed this weekend. Going to have everything from in front of the muffler back cut out and replaced, so I’ll know for sure if it’s something around there lol.
  4. https://youtu.be/KTkD-jo16RA here’s a video of the noise. The noise happens at 2 seconds and 26 seconds. In this video I was riding in the passenger side 3rd row seat and it sounded like I’d was coming from under me. It also made the noise once today while driving when it was warmed up, which was a 1st.
  5. I wouldn’t think the manifold bolts would be broken. The noise sounds like it’s coming from under the rear seats almost. That’s why I was hoping that the exhaust valve would be the issue. the thing that keeps me scratching my head is that as soon as the vehicle is warm it stops making the noise. Until then though, it’ll make the noise 5-10 times.
  6. I clamped mine open, drove it and it’s still making the noise. When I turn it by hand, it’s not the quietest thing ever, but not too bad. Funny thing about mine is that after the vehicle gets up to operating temps it’s completely silent. Never makes a peep. It’s about to drive me crazy.
  7. Awesome, thank you! I’ll check it tonight.
  8. My 2015 Tahoe started making an almost identical noise about 3 weeks ago. 120,000 miles on it. Seems to just make the noise when the vehicle is cold though. After it warms up, it’s usually always silent. were you able to confirm that the exhaust valve was the issue?
  9. My wife and I are currently looking at trading our '15 Tahoe LTZ in on a 1/2 Ton Silverado, and this is one issue I'm seeing. No mirror lighting, no auto-dimming rear view mirror, no memory seats, and no power passenger seat. On a $55,000+ truck these should be standard features! I can't believe the mark up on the T1 trucks compared to the K2 trucks. It's ridiculous.
