Ok, left the truck at the dealer overnite outside (4 degrees), got there at 7am, hit the remote start and she fired right up! The service guy said they bolted the butterfly in the flapper valve in the open position per GM engineering. This is a temporary fix until a permanent fix can be found, also per GM engineering.
I am hoping this takes care of that problem, although i still don't understand how that flapper could be the cause of the truck not starting. There are no wires to the flapper nor could i see any sensor? The truck never turned over at all, so how does the engine know not to start from a mechanical butterfly valve so far away from the engine? When i went to start it there was a click (not a starter type click) coming from under the dash area and then the cluster went black. Just don't see how the thing works. Any insight on that thing?
Anyway i'm glad to have the truck back, and hopefully with no further problems!
