  1. NICE! that is a clean install. i like how its not all out and in the open for everyone to see... very good install.
  2. sorry i have not taken pics with the black window trim. i will try to take pics in a little while but my truck is in a parking garage at the moment so im not sure how good you will be able to tell.
  3. are you talking about the squirters? if so they are on top of the cowl kinda under the edge of the hood. they are no longer on the wipers like that past two generation trucks. they work much better in my opinion... I always hated the squirters on the wiper...
  4. installed mine today took a total of about 5 minutes to put them on. removal is easy once you know how it works. ill get some pics up tomorrow as I was at work for most of the day. step 1: roll down all the windows. step 2: remove torx screw located in the door jam towards the rear of the doors on the front two doors (torx screw is on the front of the doors in the door jam on the back two doors. you have to pull back the weather stripping a little bit to see them. to pull the weather stripping back the edge is help on by a body pin. I used dikes and a towel so I didn't scratch the paint when prying the body pin out. then pull the weather stripping back like 2" and you will see the torx screw.) step 3: using a long but thin flathead look between the window and the trim and you will see some white clips. you will have to use your fingers to pull the window back a little to get the screw driver between the window and trim in order to get to the clips. there are two grooves on the bottom of the clips (kinda like hooks) put the screw driver in there and pry them back towards the window and at the same time pull trim up. repeat this step three more times per trim (total of 4 clips that are evenly spaced out). step 4: once all the clips are out, pull the trim towards the back of the truck to get it out from behind the mirror and it will slide right out. for the back doors trim I believe it is opposite when sliding the trim off or it may just come straight up. step 5: do the exact opposite to reinstall the trim. WARNING: do not try and force the trim up as the clips "lip" that hold on to the door is very small and can be broken very easily. pry on the clip bring the bottom of the clip towards the window and if it is fully released the trim will come up very easily, no force needed. also becareful when using a metal object to pry because im sure you cold potentially crack, chip or break your window.
  5. just came back from the UPS store and they are being overnighted to verywhitedevil tomorrow morning 1/21/13. we shall know soon if they fit but honestly I don't see why they wouldn't. these trucks are pretty much identical except for the front end and the emblems.
  6. I'm pretty sure they are a direct swap. I have the sierra chrome trims and would be willing to switch with some one. We could overnight ship them to eachother* so we're not driving around with them off for a long period of time. Pm me if interested.
  7. digging the floor lights but i dont want them on at all times would like them to function with my dome lights like me 02 silverado. i dont understand why GM went away from this after 02....
  8. can you pm me how you found which wires to tap into so they light up when you open the door, also do the floor board lights light up if you hit the button to turn all the interior lights on?
  9. i drove 50-55 for about an hour and the "best last 25 miles" it reached up to 23.1 or something around there. that was all flat roads no traffic. the difference between 60mph and 70mph mpg wise, there is none. I get about the same. ranging from 17-21 on the dic.
  10. I was finally able to tow something besides my friends 4 wheeler and mine. my fiancé's parents moved houses and one of her sisters car has been KIA for a while now so I was able to tow it. I am assuming that it only weighs about 4k total weight. could be more I have no idea really. I only towed it about 15 miles but the truck pulled great. unfortunately I never exceeded 50 miles per hour as I was on city streets. thinking about getting small travel trailer in a next few years but want to buy smart meaning not buy something too heavy for my truck, as this is going to be my truck for the next at least 7 years.
  11. first car I've pulled in this truck and wont be the last. honestly I think my two four wheelers weigh more but whatever... lol here is a quick pic of it. truck pulled real well. didn't struggle at all and had more power left in it. I want to pull something a little heavier. thinking about getting a small travel trailer in the next few years around 22'-25'. I would like to keep the dry weight around 5k and hopefully be around 6k fully loaded with luggage and what not. here is a pic from today in Houston, TX.
  12. is the 22" magnaflow loud? i want to get rid of the stock exhaust only in the restrictive point of view. i want something that i can hear just a little from the outside but still be quiet on the inside. i used to have a loud truck but now i just want my DD to be nice and quiet without people having to talk louder to hear. i want something that is like a step or two above stock. EDIT: i also want a cat back system. i know you cant see the exhaust from the back for the most part but i hate seeing exhaust's that are hacked up. i had a magnaflow stainless on my camaro and i liked the quality of that kit.
  13. love the way your truck sits. leveled with no air dam... it's look mean and it looks like it sits really high like the ford raptors... nice! also the led light in the bumper looks good too.
