I got jealous when I found out the 2017 LTZ's had wireless charging on the lid of the center console. As soon as my wife declined my well laid out presentation why buying a new truck made sense, I set out to see if I could found out a workable solution. It turned out to be much easier than I imagined. Update: My service guy called me and said that a technician was driving and had the same thing happen. They checked the obvious places like batter connections but are still coming up with no answers. He said they might go to GM direct and have someone more techinncal start looking at it.
This has happened to me several times: I'll be driving and the Stabilitrak will fail and the steering will go out. It has happened at lower speeds well parking or turning. The engine and steering fail and the electric cycles off and back on again. It has occurred at least 5 times in the past week. I am taking my truck in to get serviced now and they said that there is not a recall associated with these issues. One here had a similar issue? It's really starting to freak me out. Same for me with the "texas edition." A buddy at work got the LTZ at the same time as me and loves to rub it in my face that he can fold his in. I've pressed my key fob every way possible hoping it would somehow happen.
I had the same issue for my 09 Sierra. Its happened a couple of times on the 14 as well. I usually start slow (1/4 squeeze?) and then after its gone for 30 seconds or so I set it on full blast. Seems to work. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Im in Texas so wont be able to comment on the snow so much. The Access has the reinforcement rods as well. Haven't got to rain test it yet either. I'm counting on keeping my clubs back there as well though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Put in a drop in K&N air filter two weeks ago. Might be a placebo bit I swear it runs and responds better. Today I put on the Access Tonnosport Tonneau Cover. I did more research than I care to admit. Went with this bc of full bed access, no drilling, and sleek look. Thus far it is greatm install was by the book. Small problem with one clamp but it was easily fixed. Pics before and after below. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Since taking my off, I see no recognizable difference in MPG. Highway MPG (both instant eco and long distance averages) are as good as you would want them to be. I do a good bit of city driving and have been using the remote start a lot lately so my MPG hasn't been great. Highway is 20+ every time. If someone needs an air dam, let me know. No clue how much it would be to ship, but I'd let it go for cheap.
I've put about 1,000 miles on my 14 Silverado. 5.3L. With just city driving I get about 15mpg. I try not to gun it too much (certainly not as much as I'd like). Anytime I put 10 or so highway miles on the average for the tank jumps up well over 16. It seems to love 65-75 mph.
