  1. Thanks, I used to work for the magazines, so that's a great compliment! Here is a rear shot with the dog crate.
  2. Actual pics? Those are actual pics of my truck... No, zero, zilch, nada vibrations at all and the transmission is working very well. Granted, it has 288 miles on it so far but I actually really like the 8-speed for shift quickness. I think it doesn't suit some peoples driving style but I've had no trouble.
  3. ZR2 and I'm in love again!
  4. Well, I'm out. Traded the GMC in on a new truck and I am very happy about it. Good luck guys - I really, really, really hope we do end up finding a solution...
  5. I'm so frustrated with the vibration (now 57,000 miles worth of vibrating) but I can't find a good solution... Looked at a ZR2 today but... hmmmmm I can't believe we haven't figured this out yet!
  6. Wishing you good luck - I'm going to order axles as soon as you report back. Hopefully.
  7. I've had two sets of aftermarket wheels and tires (plus the stockers) and it still vibrates... It's not the tires.
  8. If the '16 doesn't vibrate that means it CAN be fixed, since it's "the same truck" with... something... different that has fixed that. At least, that's my hope. My '14 vibrates at 70+ BAD and has done it for 40,000 miles. Posts like yours, that document what has been changed and what has/hasn't worked are very helpful. Keep us updated!
  9. Had some fun in between another photoshoot today... I love this truck!
  10. Black Sierra in the snow... I need to get out and grab some new shots soon. And in the summer.
  11. Thanks man, I appreciate that! Wheels are 18-inch Method Mesh with 275/70/18 tires.
  12. 15.5 MPG average, no idea on fender height but it's visually level, so that's good enough for me
  13. 5R - Yes sir, 2.5-inch RC lift (front only, stock rear blocks) with the Methods.
  14. It's leveled 2.5 inches using the Rough Country front leveling kit (stock rear blocks). That, plus the wheels/tires and alignment is all that's done to the truck. Any time you're feeling regret you are more than welcome to come wash this gigantic black disaster... It only looks good in photos, I promise!
  15. Thanks RickRod! The wheels were powder coated matte bronze prior to installation. The wheels are 18x9 Method Mesh with -12mm offsets. I bought them from Tire Rack.
  16. Just got my custom Chip Foose 2-tone paint job done...
  17. MNF... sorry for the iPhone shot.
  18. MNF! Should add specs... 18-inch Method Mesh wheels with 275/70/18 Bridgestone A/T Revo 2s. Loving these Revo2s compared to the BFG ATIIs I started with... they ride MUCH smoother and actually balanced out, instead of shaking the whole truck apart. 2.5-inch level, no rub.
  19. PC, that's very kind of you to say, I really appreciate it! I liked the stealth gray too, that's a good choice for sure.
  20. Quicky from today on another job.
  21. Still some work left to do but we're making progress...
