I intalled mine yesterday. The only problem i had was it kept unlocking when i turned the ke back verticle. I took it back apart a few times & sprayed new cam with silicone spray to no avail. Then i figured out if you hold the handle out while rotaing the key back verticle it can't unlock. This is fine because i'll probably never use the key agian anyway. The install took me about 3 hrs. Including 1/2 hour troubleshooting the cam issue. Great product & great instructions given here.

I road tested mine towing my boat for the first time since changing the trans mount. Vibration is still there. I dont understand why its way worse towing my boat. I tested it again coming down a bridge doing 70 (worse speed) and threw it in neutral and watched the tach go down to 600 RPM. Vibration didn't change until i got below 63. Then it disappears completely. WOW! I'm going to get my tires checked just so i can tell them i did so that they start further up the ladder.

I just changed my trans. mount to the TCI Auto Part# 952500 suggested in an earlier post. I went for a test drive & the vibration seems A LOT better, almost nil. You can still feel it in your arm on the console but just vaguely. It is still just a band-aid though. I can live with this minor vibration but iwonder if this problem will shorten the life of the trans.

A few other notes i forgot to mention. With my tune i dont have V-4 anymore either. You woukd think the dealer of the first buy back would ship that truck to GM & the engineers would jump on finding the problem & getting us a fix. Guess not!

I tried to convey in my first post that the only common denomiator in my truck vs the others with the same issue is the transmission. I have a different engine, different driveshaft, different rear axle, different tires & size, different wheels & a different tune. I towed my boat today which is when it seems worse. At 70 i shifted to neutral & watched tach go to idle. Shimmy didnt stop until truck slowed to 60. I tried this twice. It has to be something in the rotating assy of the transmission.

I just joined this site after reading through all of this and feeling I needed to reply to answer some questions. I have a 2014 SIlverado 1500 Crew LTZ 2WD Short Box with 6.2L Engine and 3.73 MAX TOWING PKG. with approx. 8000 miles. I had after market 22" wheels & tires installed from the start. I also added dual catback exhaust, CAI, did a custom dyno tune and installed an aftermarket 2 pc. high speed balanced driveshaft (for reasons other than the shimmy). My truck has always had the shimmy that starts between 60 & 65 and remains from there on up. It seems worse when towing my boat. I have tried putting the truck in neutral while it is doing it at 70 and no change. I had the tires rotated for the first time a few days ago and the shimmy didn't move, so I don't think its the tires or wheels. The putting in neutral doesn't necessarily rule out the tranny because there are still parts rotating. IMO, it would rule out a motor mount issue because the engine comes to idle when shifted to neutral. I will stay tuned in here until the problem is resolved. GREAT SITE!
