  1. Anyone ever satin finished their rims? Jesus these stock 20s look great. http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=280581&page=91
  2. Well technically speaking it varies per manufacturer. I mean by default spec a 295/55/20 is 32.8"x11.61"x20, Toyo's measurements however for their MT 295/55/20 are 33"x12.2x20. I really just wanted to see the RT in 295/55/20. I don't think ill have enough clearance to run 305/55/20s and honestly 295/55/20s will be pushing it i believe. I mean we're talking tenths of inches here and there per manufacturer difference to default spec but it is indeed a difference. I had just read that 33x12.5x20 rub with stock offset on the 14s. Also for some reason i picture 33x12.5x20 being a fat looking tire, which i don't really want. Want a balance between the two. Like my friends 285/70/18s, granted it's a 34" tire it being 11.5" width looks perfect.
  3. So...just saw this, Toyo is releasing more sizes for the RT. Honestly i'm left scratching my head. We get two more sizes offered in 20" wheels and it's 35x12.5x20 and 37x12.5x20. Why wouldn't you go to a more common size tire that appeal to a larger audience, rather than a niche tire size like 35" & 37". I mean i've been settled on 295/55/20 Toyo MTs for sometime but told myself if they got the 295/55/20 or even 305/55/20 RTs out i would go with them. Yes there is 33x12.5x20 but i'm under the impression that would take some serious offset to run. http://tirereview.com/toyo-increases-open-country-rt-size-offerings/
  4. Those look like KO2s, here is the M2. Still great looking truck. I wish i would've gotten the all terrain just for the rims, then debadged it.
  5. I told him I'd give him them for like 50-100$ I mean his ride isn't unbearable or anything it just took a hit IMO from where it was. I figured the OEM ranchos that came with mine would at least make it a little better. The stock shocks are twin tube aren't they? And the oem ranchos from the z71 monotube? Figured it would help a bit.
  6. So i ordered a set of Bilsteins so i'm ditching my ranchos. But i figure hell, my brother can use the Ranchos on his 2012 Chevy Silverado SLE 4x4 could he not? Both are GMT900 suspension right? Granted the dampening rate wouldn't be set up for his truck i imagine they're better than the factory OEM twin tubes he has. Since he got his RC 2" leveling kit there was definitely a loss in ride quality. His truck became very stiff IMO.
  7. If it's a concern at all i would go 18" hell maybe 17".
  8. If i were getting new wheels i would go 18s just for cheaper tires...why would 20s handicap the off road ability of the truck? I mean i get it more rubber, but are we talking like serious offroading/rock climbing etc. or just hitting some trails and farmland every now and then.
  9. Well they're not trying to be 1st in the red dot market. In the adjustable magnification marker they're far above alright. The Gen IIs 3-18, 5-27, and 1-6 and truly top of the line optics. They're heavy as hell but they take a beating and keep going and have some of the best glass I've seen to date. There is a reason a certain tier 1 group uses the 1-6 on all their 5.56 carbines.
  10. No worries bud, was just letting the guy know he could probably fit 275/70/18 though i think he asked about 295/70/18, in which it would probably rub even with a 2.5" level though i doubt the offset would be the cause. Cousin has an 09 with an RC 2.5 running 295/70/18 or whatever the equal size is in a 17" rim. He rubs a little in the front and back of the wheel well which he had to trim some, but is using stock offset.
  11. Was going to say the same, that tire is almost the same width as stock tires. People aren't rubbing with 295/55/20 stock offset. 33x12.5x20 or 305/55/20 might be a different story.
  12. DEFINITELY a love/hate kind of thing..
  13. Looks great Higgy what level?
  14. Justin is that front level only?
  15. Ball joints and the angle. If you look at the stock UCAs at 2.5 they look like they're taking about all they can.
  16. I wouldn't go true 3" without new upper control arms. Even at 2.5 I'm debating new UCAs.
  17. Hutch what were your original measurements? I've been thinking about getting a 1.5" block if i don't have a half inch of rake or better.
  18. Excellent looking truck Joel! Given thought several times to that 3.5" rough country kit. Though buddy of my brothers running his older 2011 GMC with that kit plus trail grapplers was getting horrid gas mileage. How is yours doing? I think my truck is on the low end of the spectrum when it comes to the 14s. I'm getting 12-15 in town stock and 18-20 highway at best. It's more like 13 city, 17 highway.
  19. I had read the same about the Bilsteins. Also seen some of the older model 5100s on a 2015 and set to 2+. Sure the dampening isn't tuned to the truck but it looked great and probably still road great. I'm pretty satisfied with my oem ranchos. Rides better than my 2WD SLE 2004 sierra ever did. Though part of me wants Bilsteins. I likely just end up with a rough country 2.5" level and call it a day. Maybe some new UCAs as well. They come out with a height adjustable shock or coilover that will give me 2.5 in the front from Bilstein or Better and I'm all over it.
  20. Carl did you ever try the bilstein shocks on the highest setting to see what amount of lift you would get?
  21. Like Metallic Iridium
  22. As you saw from my pictures above I picked up a razor 1-6 this christmas and adore it. Dad wanted some nice binoculars for once in his life and kept talking Swarovski. Which nothing wrong with swaro, your just looking at 2500+. I told him to take a serious look at the razors for 1200$. He took them outside and compared them said that the swaros were a little brighter but it was no 1300$ difference. While I didn't compare the two, I can't say enough about the glass of the gen I & II razors. It's nice very crisp from edge to edge, great colors, no chromatic abberation, and great fov. I'm a big vortex fan now. Though as far as the best glass I own to my eyes at least my USOS SN-3 still takes the cake. I've seen complaints of their glass before but it is just amazingly clear to my eyes.
  23. http://www.vortexoptics.com/category/strike_eagle_riflescopes So the StrikeEagle has arrived at 429$!
  24. Looks absolutely great. What was your fender height before & after? Also what are you getting MPG wise?
  25. If I'm sitting at 36.5" in the front and 39.5 or 39.7 in the back would the RC 2.5 front level only put the front higher than the rear? Should just 39 in the front and 39.5 in the back. For those running 2.5" front level only how was your gas mileage?
