I’ve just fixed my vibration issue by unloading my shaking squeakerado. I wish all of you still suffering with these issues the best of luck. It’s clear to me that GM has zero desire to rectify this issue and they have lost a customer for life.

You can quote that act all you want. But I am reading about people cranking down bolts without having any clue what the actual torque specifications are. And probably using Walmart or Auto Zone wrenches that aren't calibrated. All while working on vehicles with known problems manufactured by a company who seems to be doing everything they can to dodge the issue. I mean they are blaming rear end vibrations on rain gutters or bug deflectors. Or not driving the vehicles at speeds where the vibrations are occurring because they say that speeds above the limit are illegal and unsafe. So I'll stand by my original defense of the guy who is worried about voiding warranties. Why take a chance and give GM any ammunition at all?

I think you have me confused with someone else. I haven't commented on here in a long time and the warning I got was a long time ago. It was something I was completely innocent in. I saw this other guy's post today about someone being stupid because they are worried about voiding their warranty and it annoyed me because I see useless posts like that on here all the time.

That was a pretty messed up comment. I defended myself one time and got threatened by the moderator and yet I see BS like this on here all the time. And if you really stop and think, that warranty being voided theory is not far off. It seems to me like GM is doing everything in their power to avoid making good on these issues so maybe you're the one who is stupid and not the guy who is worried about voiding his warranty.

I think the reason that there are so many different causes and so few solutions is because the vibrations are caused by stuff that has always vibrated. Every rotating part is a potential source of vibration. I think GM has engineered the suspension to the point of being sensitive to any of these vibrations. They've tried so hard to isolate the cab from road vibrations that they've basically tuned it to any vibrations occurring above the wheels. They'll either have to go backwards with the suspension and frame engineering or tighten the tolerances for all rotating parts. The latter would be way too expensive. I can't imagine what could fix the vibration issues on trucks out there now other than some type of replacement body mounts.

I posted my opinion and you chose to call it ridiculous. I reacted. I posted here hoping that the fact that tires cured my vibration problem would help those looking for a fix for their problem. I never advised anyone to stop posting here. Not sure where you got that from. The word 'denier' was used by keakar in his comment that was a direct response to the post where you called my opinion ridiculous. If anything is ridiculous it's the thought that more than 50% of the 2014/15 Silverado/Sierra trucks are vibrating so badly that the lemon law needs to be used and this hasn't made the news yet. I didn't say that only people with vibration issues are following this thread but it is my opinion that most of the people following this thread have either heard about the vibration issue or have experienced it firsthand like I did. I never denied that people are having issues. I feel badly for those that were unable to cure their problem with changing out tires but it's my opinion that those trucks are a very small percentage of the trucks out there. I also believe that the number of dealers not helping their customers cure this problem is very small. Again. My opinion. I don't really care if you agree with my thoughts or not but don't think I'm just going to sit back and be called ridiculous without reacting. That would be ridiculous.

You should check a dictionary before you quote me and call me ridiculous. And you should go back and read my post before you call me a denier. You keep using the word forum. This is one thread in a forum that includes threads with people complaining about AND praising their trucks. Of course I read your posts. You are claiming a 50% vibration rate because of some vote started in a THREAD about vibrating trucks. Of course the vote will be skewed because most of the people posting on this THREAD, not all of as you claim I said, are having vibration issues. Myself included. That's why I started reading this THREAD in the first place. My problem happened to be easy to fix and my dealer happened to be great. I was lucky and stated that I felt bad for those not as lucky. I never denied anything.

I'm sure many owners come to this forum. However, I'm willing to bet that the only people following this thread have either experienced the shaking problem or heard about it. I started following this thread because my 2015 Silverado LT shook like crazy the second I got near 50mph. My problem was solved with tires and my dealer was great. It seems to me that most of the vehicles mentioned here had the problem solved by changing their tires out. I feel bad for those that weren't so lucky but I truly believe they are a very small minority. I love my truck and so do three of my friends who have 2014's of their own.

I just picked up my 2015 Silverdado 1500 LT 4X4 the other day. I absolutely loved it. Until I got it above 50mph and the shaking started. At 63mph the shaking was unbearable. I found this forum and started reading. After 32 pages I started to panic. I downloaded the vibration app mentioned earlier in this thread and began investigating. The worst vibration was being recorded at just over 800rpm, the speed my 20" wheels are spinning when traveling between 60-65mph. Long story short. The dealer discovered that both rear tires were no good. One had a broken bead and sidewall bulge that occurred during installation at the factory. One was calling for 12oz of weight when road force balanced. 12oz!!! Lol. After those two tires were replaced and all four tires road balanced?...smooth as glass at all speeds. I'm very relieved and very happy. I love this truck. Very quiet, very smooth, very comfortable and great on gas. Now I just need some running boards and a bed cover. I should mention that my tires are Continental not Goodyear.
