I have been meaning to start messing with it but have been procrastinating. Lookin forward to see how it works out

My truck has the wire plug that is inside of the plastic cover that runs on the windshield between the mirror mount and the headliner. Has anyone installed the Invisicord or MirrorTap on this type of setup? It appears most on this thread have the lane departure black box or the plug that is exposed on the back of the mirror itself which seems like the easiest. I'm worried about the wire taps fitting inside of that plastic cover.
