  1. Oh, and the MagnaFlow 14", I ran that on my 6.0 and it sounded good. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. I decided to keep the Borla and put it on with the stock resonator in place. See my videos above a couple posts. I have catless headers, so that is why I am keeping the resonator. Visit my YouTube page and you'll see a few of my setups. The borla is 3", so you need to weld it in place as slipping and clamping won't work with oem exhaust being too small. I am selling 3" exhaust with no muffler if you want to experiment like I did. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. I had Flowmaster super 40, no resonator. It was plenty loud, but kinda annoying sometime when accelerating. Couple small drone zones. I had the borla 40359 with no resonator, and I think that sounded cleaner. Another good option is MagnaFlow 11229 I think. I assume you have 4cyl tuned out. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. Flowmaster with no resonator will be louder than your current setup. However, no muffler and no resonator will be louder than the above. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  5. After some trail and error (not much error, just sound preference), I think I have my setup complete. Hopefully I am done with Exhaust components now, as my wallet was starting to dislike me. Setup: Texas Speed 1 7/8 LT Headers Texas Speed Off Road Y OEM Catback with Borla 40359 replacing OEM Muffler & Flapper. OEM Resonator is still in place. Here are a couple videos. Normal Accel, Hard Accel (windows up for both), and then Warm Start with Rev. I'll upload a cold start after I grab a video tomorrow morning. This setup sounds great to me. It's nice and quiet cruising, and makes noise when you want it to. NOTE: I have 4 cyl mode (AFM) tuned out, that is why I got rid of the flapper. If you have it still active, I'd leave it in place to keep the chopper noise to a minimum. Normal Accel: Hard Accel: Warm Start & Rev (and old man Kody 14.5yrs old):
  6. Good luck on both parts! (or not really, cause I wanna hear what it sounds like)
  7. Does anyone have the GM Borla exhaust installed with Headers?
  8. I believe the biggest hit is going from a street tire to a true A/T tire.
  9. Yeah, they want a lot of money for that system.
  10. Great looking truck! Sent from Tapatalk App - Samsung S6
  11. Texas Speed Headers installed. See my build thread below for a few videos: Build Thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/171035-rawyzfs-2015-silverado-z71-build/page-12?do=findComment&comment=1811106 Texas Speed Thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/179676-texas-speed-headers/page-10?do=findComment&comment=1811109
  12. Excellent. I will do a couple vids and post them up when done! Sent from Tapatalk App - Samsung S6
  13. What's in the box? Sent from Tapatalk App - Samsung S6 Headers install starts in less than 24hrs
  14. I just installed the Borla 40359 on my truck, replacing the Flowmaster Super 40. My setup is factory manifolds and Y, Dynomax Catback with Borla 40359 in place of the Dynomax VT. I replaced the Dynomax VT muffler with the Flowmaster Super 40 a few months back, as I didn't really like how the Dynomax VT sounded at WOT. I replaced the Flowmaster Super 40 with the Borla 40359 because I am putting headers on this weekend and wanted something that would be a tad quieter than the Flowmaster. I think the Borla 40359 sounds great, very close to the Flowmaster Super 40, but just turned down a notch. We'll see how it sound with Headers and ORY after this weekend, might end up being too loud still, but this was my starting point. Here are some videos if interested, Borla 40359. Start Up: Rev: Cruising (one punch part way through): Take Off (Wet, so spinning a bit):
  15. Yes, I sent them an email right before I posted this. You don't have extensions on your AR headers, right? I compared the bung hole (lol) location on AR vs TS, and they look pretty similar. Sent from Tapatalk App - Samsung S6
  16. For those of you who have installed LT headers, can you let me know which brand you went with and if you needed o2 Extensions? I plan to install this Friday (Texas Speed LT Headers), and wanted to confirm if the o2 Extensions are not needed. (as I didn't get any with the headers & y) Thanks!
  17. Correct, just plugs right into the ODBII port.
  18. I agree, and you really don't even lose much on the highway. Personally, I was really only able to stay in 4cyl mode around 50-60mph. On the highway (70-80mph), it was just go into 4cyl mode if I was coasting, and that was annoying see if flip over an back a million times.
  19. Just to do as it advertises, stop the truck from going into 4cyl mode. Many do it because of the noise you get in 4cyl mode with aftermarket exhausts.
  20. Range AFM device. http://www.autoanything.com/performance-chips/range-active-fuel-management-disable-device?vehicleid=3525109&kc=ffprod&k_clickid=c67d1281-b925-4c78-a736-4ab98a2b11ef&adgroupid=5399&k_trackingid=274x84658804808&kpid=10557-7302-3525109&productid=84658804808&gclid=Cj0KEQjwmKG5BRDv4YaE5t6oqf0BEiQAwqDNfDKKCqm0LlKgeBJz-CsjXgZ6PSmEztxzmJ8DGgkFrAUaAnPE8P8HAQ
  21. Excellent, thanks for that heads up.
  22. Glad to hear it. Guessing I won't have any of those issues as I don't have dual exhaust.
  23. Love the black on the exhaust! How you like the Hellwig, I plan to install mine this week some time.
  24. Find me one, nice score! Sent from Tapatalk App - Samsung S6
