I can't speak for Lee, but he has HID's and speaks about wanting LED's like he previously had which had a blue/purple tint. That would mean a higher color temperature. 4300 warm white 5000-5500 pure white 6000+ getting blue. We all probably know this already... We are speculating as to what his intentions are. I'll add nothing further.

LeeMogul: Not quite sure why LED is the way you want to go, but you mention the 'purple hue' a few times so I'm guessing the color temperature is of significance to you. If that is the main driver of your issue, I'd suggest just swapping HID bulbs for ones with a higher color temperature.
