  1. A little weight in the bed, a wheel hub replacement and a new set of Michelin Defenders. The original Bridgestone were very bad. Put you truck on a lift and run the truck in drive just make sure all wheels are spinning true. Problem gone. Also check your skocks. I have a 2014 Silverado High Country 49,000 miles on 22's. After 4 years I got I right.
  2. I've been monitoring this topic for a yer since purchasing my 2014 Silverado January 2015. Unfortunately many still experience the shake problem at 71mph as I did. I just drove the hell out of mine, had 3 balance jobs, and 75mph to 85 mph drives to work every day. With all that said when I placed 100 pounds of hand tools over the rear tires absolutely ALL vibrations disappeared, fortunately. For some areodynamic issues should be considered as I have noticed in the past air pressure oscillation in direct phase with body vibration while in travel with windows down.
  3. Mike I haven't read all of your threads but if you haven't done so, my suggestion would be to taking it to another dealer or to a good tire specialist. I also have 22's that look exactly like yours. My particular problem was solved (90%) with a good tire balance and rotation. Some of the dealers fail to calibrate their tire balancing equipment which may account for them believing the tires are balanced and you knowing they are not. You might be able to find out when their equipment was last calibrated (good luck..). This is not a "fix all" solution but one you may want to pursue. I do not believe rims size is the problem in your case but poor diagnoses and guessing on their part. They should know better. See if you can get a new set of tires also. Sorry to hear you have to consider getting a new truck.
  4. I suggest you ask for 4 new ones if you can.
  5. Just an uninformed comment, but maybe they should have replaced all four. This may account for the remaining 25% of vibration. Dealer, "why the front 2 and not the back 2"? I suggest you get after them while the issue is still fresh and the truck has low mileage. It could get worst. I think you may have some leverage to pursue this. I was just told by my dealer that my vibration my be attributable to flat spots (the truck was a show room truck). They are replacing all four. Just a suggestion. I will test drive tomorrow. Not trying to rain on your parade.
  6. I can’t address all of your comments but I'm not a kid nor a GM employee but I have owned 5 GM products. Now, I am a 2014 Silverado owner. To be clear my comments concern issues pertaining to low speed 40 mph V8 toV4 transition vibrations. I stand by those comments! Raw or not I call it like I see it. That said, my Silverado also has the dreaded high speed vibration. Today I picked up the phone and call some of my Dealer contacts and they are being made aware of this condition impacting a limited amount of 2014, 2015 Silverado’s. Procedures are in place for a fix, however, successful repairs are dependent on technician training, equipment upgrades and Dealer due-diligence apparently not consistent among dealerships. Monday my truck goes in for servicing. I will keep you informed of the results.

  8. Nope, Just calling it like I see it. Thanks!
  9. Hi Dcon, Thanks for the comments and consideration. Since I am not an automotive technician my dissenting opinions are merely opinions and nothing more. To be clear, my comments address 2014, 2015 Silverado 1500’s with low speed v8 to v4 vibration. Keep the comments coming, I’m learning allot.
  10. I own a 2014 Silverado High Country. I am also experiencing the V8 to V4 “shake, rattle and roll” and after reading hundreds of post on several forums concerning the matter, got worked up over a “defect” that is not really a defect. Yep, after figuring it out myself it become apparent the truck “IS” operating within design perimeters, hence, dealerships’ assessment as “normal” regarding the “shake, rattle and roll”. I took my truck to the dealer and complained and now feel less than smart for not doing the research before taking action. At the risk of alienating someone this is how I see things. 1. To be very honest, other than wanting perfection, this issue doesn’t pass the “so what” test. It’s not a show stopper just an annoyance. Silverado is a truck and when you change the power to weight ratio of 3 tons of truck while driving, things are going to be less than perfect but mpg will increase. 2. Heck, I can count the times I’ve ever seen the V4 mode because I almost never consistently drive within that range and most likely accelerating beyond it. I believe most of you are too; with your foot to the floor. 3. When you buy a 3 ton truck with a 6.2L engine…well, obviously “mpg” is of no concern. And other than appeasement and the perception of good customer support, I believe GM may have come to the same conclusion being more concerned with gearing up for 2016 than fixing something that is a “non-defect”. As Blade would say, “someone always got to skate uphill”. 4. If I was so concerned about mpg a small foreign pickup would have been sufficient instead of one of the best and biggest American truck ever made. 5. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. If you throw away a truck because of this matter someone else will surely prophet! And when you take your truck to the dealership for something like this they might screw something else up just looking for something that is not a problem 6. Understand this, I believe the whole matter is “someone” else’s agenda, definitely not something that concerns me.
