  1. My biggest improvement came from 20" wheels on KO2s religiously RFB down to 15lbs or less ... but, I did install the Borla touring and noticed slighter improvement still
  2. Most test drives are the courtesy 2 mile dealer loop - you're excited about a new truck so it doesn't stand out
  3. Esc is no different than the suburban and denali - go test drive a lot of them, you'll find a few good ones.
  4. Good ones are out there, you just have to be willing to be diligent and test drive a lot of them
  5. Search the thread, it's in here - not sure if those posters are still active but 100% problem returned
  6. IIRC both members that had the roof fix saw the problem return after the bows came undone again, I also thought GM was no longer doing the roof work
  7. You should have the mod make this a sticky; what's happening is every few months as users churn, and new people arrive here, this info gets lost
  8. I'd flip it, some vibrations are from the tires, others elsewhere in the powertrain I'd have an independent tire shop road force balance the LTX and see if the issue is still there
  9. IIRC someone here had the exhaust fix and problem still returned or am I mistaken? If so, likely denying it for the same reason the prior roof bows repair was pulled - doesn't last
  10. You answered the question in your question ... it's automatic
  11. I have KO2s, improved my buffeting but I was also strict about getting RF values below 15 but you need to run 20s If you have 22s, get the Michelin LTXs ... people are swearing by these as making a huge improvement to booming and buffeting, reviews over at tire rack are the best I've ever seen for any tire
  12. Website reads "leather appointed" so you can't even be sure it is all seating surfaces like before (where they would write seating surfaces)
  13. It's still speculation re: improved body mounts, but here's picture and link if anyone wants to compare to a 16 .. best way is to go test drive some 17s http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/2017-yukon-xl-denali.85107/page-4
  14. You do know that GM once had an official memo for the roof repair but have since pulled it - no official reason but suspect due to the bows coming undone again - so it's definitely the roof, and I do not think we'll see a future fix from GM Reduce inputs into the vehicle and/or the "rip" roof fix are the only ways to go
  15. Fair points except that the last gen didn't suffer from this issue hence the complaints ... like your cargo van example, that sensation is always in a cargo van and pretty much expected in future/new vans
  16. No one has tried it yet but give it a few as I'm sure people will start as soon as more 17s hit the streets
  17. The low road force balance under 15lbs (and better tires especially the Michelin LTX) has been by far the best band aid to date In some, the problem is gone while for others greatly reduces the magnitude of the issues Some are now saying that GM changed the body mounts in the '17s, which has fixed the issue as well
  18. Let's take me out of it Your article is addressing a different situation entirely I'm not sure why you, who doesn't have a vehicle with this issue (the pickups have vibration but not the buffeting) is calling into question 160 pages of complaints since summer 2014 From your article, a GM spokesperson offered a solution to open the sunroof or front window to alleviate the problem, which doesn't solve the buffeting from this thread
  19. GM is the only one that deserves the blame Gathering evidence from others, sharing experiences - griping if that's what you call it - is the only way that most here are getting educated and getting buybacks as GM is telling some/most that the "vehicle is operating as designed" hoping they go away This is all you need to read below when a forum member here got the press to report on it "GM is working with customers on an individual basis to rectify things" http://www.autoblog.com/2015/12/30/fullsize-gm-suvs-making-owners-sick-report/
  20. I did read DOWN that's the confusion - you're now trying to clean up your own lack of reading comprehension This thread is about the issues happening when windows are UP Your comment about how every car does this when windows are DOWN doesn't help anyone Replace your original reply with "the sky is blue" and would be just as helpful to this thread
  21. What other cars in recent history (last 3 years) have issues with buffeting with the windows UP across the entire generation (not just a few complaints) I think you're causing confusion
  22. Now imagine the same feeling with your windows closed - that's the issue people here are having
  23. I mean from another dealer or a friend of a friend that works at one, even some forum members are employees and can pull the history. Your dealer will never give it to you.
  24. One idea, get the internal service history on your VIN - I suspect the reason it was used was the prior buyer had similar issues and also took a loss - if you see similar repair attempts, you could try to make a cause for non-disclosure
  25. Sorry that sucks but after reading all the people with issues, this is their standard playbook for most ie to reject and hope you go away Most of the ones that have been successful had to go through lemon law to get a buy back
