  1. Not an issue. 4600 will feel more responsive on smaller bumps and is great for on road (still an upgrade over stock offroad), where as the dampening on the 5100 is more suited toward larger pothole sized obstacles.
  2. If we could give them away we would, but there isnt much room to discount them any more then we already have You are welcome to buy from who you like, we are here to help if we can answer any questions.
  3. Interesting, they charge $25 more for the 4600 over the 5100, should be the other way around. Anyway, thanks for bringing it to our attention, weve dropped the prices below summit now. Remember we have these in stock and ready to rock vs Summit not shipping til 5/6 & we offer free shipping. Let us know if we can be of any help!
  4. Bilstein 4600 - $200 for front pair, $340 for complete set delivery to lower 48 included. Bilstein 5100 - $210 for front pair, $348 for complete set delivery to lower 48 included.
  5. Toyota 6112 vs beer bottle
  6. Check it, shiny new vendor tag! Im here to help you guys. My shop is in Las Vegas and I have been building trucks for 15+ years now. If I can be of any assistance or if I can quote you on some upgrades for your truck please shoot me a PM or email.
  7. I should have my vendor account setup today so I can offer you guys great deals on all brands of shocks including Bilstein. Ive been in business for almost ten years and have a great relationship with Bilstein. This is why we will be offering you all the first dibs on the 6112.
  8. If you must use the spacer, go with the 4600. It is the same length as stock, vs the slightly longer 5100.
  9. We hear you on that. Lots of misinformation posted in this thread as well as most others. We try to clear up any questions you all may have, being a business we cant really post non fact checked or wrong information or people wouldnt trust shopping with us. The fact of the matter is the shock is a mono-tube gas pressurized shock and it doesn't matter how you mount it, they work rightside up, upside down, sideways, backwards. Having said that, try to get the logos and text right side up
  10. MRT Motorsports is the only shop you need! We have been on this thread since the start and are here to help. I got your PM. For rear shock options Belltech makes two versions of shocks in two lowering range sizes that are specifically designed for a 14+ chevy lowered 2-4 or 5-7" in the rear. Realizing that the 5100 for your application is slightly longer than the OE stock with these specs, Collapsed Length (IN): 16.18 Extended Length (IN): 25.79 You will need a shock around 14" collapsed and a minimum of 24.5". There is a Bilstein HD 24-021715 that measures at Collapsed Length: 14.33 Extended Length: 22.72 This will limit a bit of down travel, but usually when lowered you arent fully flexing the suspension. The collapsed number is going to be more important. This shock was designed for older chevys lowered up to 6", but has the same eyelets so it will bolt up and the valving should be good.
  11. Those shocks will bolt on to the NHT truck, they might not have enough dampening to control the rear spring on the NHT tho. Per this thread, a few users have bilsteins on the NHT equipped trucks. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/162049-nht-ride-quality/ Another good NHT info thread - http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/172318-2015-silverado-nht-suspension-upgrade-help/
  12. Gas pressurized shocks can be mounted either way, although we like to get the labels right side up ;)
  13. Truck looks great, and happy to hear you are enjoying the ride!
  14. Its really isnt a comparison. Spacers do not improve the ride, cause extra wear on joints, limit UPTRAVEL, overextend stock components. A .5" spacer wont be as bad as a 3". A spacer does nothing for performance except lift the truck. A spacer can cause stock shocks to be over compressed causing shock failure. This has been proven time and time again on many make and models of trucks. A bilstein, regardless of setting, does not limit travel up or down. It will provide extra suspension articulation over stock, allow for full suspension range of motion, improve the ride with better valving and dampening characteristics, allow for better dampening on rough roads as they are monotube shocks vs a cheap twin tube. As they use the stock upper mount, the shock angle is in a better position which will keep the coil from hitting the arm. I posted a link that answer all of these questions above. 15. Here is Shane explaining how the 5100 (and 6112) work. He is one of the Bilstein team members working on the 6112 project. Read this as well - http://www.bilsteinus.com/fileadmin/user_upload/user_upload_us/pdfs/Bil_LevShks_WebArticle.pdf
  16. Official Update on the 6112: Looking like an October release for the GM trucks 6112.
  17. No, I contacted them yesterday but have not heard back. Will let you all know what they say.
  18. Hopefully some this week.
  19. Awesome, good to hear! Bilstein has always been great with any warranty issues.
  20. Give Bilstein a call and they will set you up! Here are the install directions if anyone needs them - http://cart.bilsteinus.com/pdfs/E4-WM5-Y458A00.pdf Baja Kits, Camburg, Dirt King, Mazulla, etc.
  21. Chris, good to see you on GM-Trucks now. Did you sell your Tacoma? Like the Tacoma, FJ, 4Runner & Tundra - Total Automotive Performance will be the best source for your 6112 needs. April is the tentative release date.
  22. I wouldnt have it any other way. We will start taking pre-orders when the part numbers are released and pricing and release date are confirmed.
  23. I am reserving the first production run for GM-Trucks.com members.
  24. Exactly how I felt moving from the 5100 to the 5160 rear. 5160 can be described as being... sportier? Feels more significant. For lifted applications, we will also come up with a table of 5165s you can use in conjunction with the 6112 front / lift spacer / bracket...
  25. Bilstein will have new part numbers for application specific 5160s for the new trucks. I am sure the other ones would work just fine (We run Tundra shocks on lifted Tacomas, Jeep shocks on lifted mercedes, etc), but Bilstein will optimize the new shocks for these specific trucks.
