Well a little update on mine. After they put the new driveshaft on it I've had no issues at all! Pretty exciting so far. I've drove it now a little over 500 miles and it's smooth as glass at any speed. The majority of it has been interstate miles, going back and forth from downtown due to my wife's surgery (sure in the hell didn't need this vibration issue on top of everything else going on)! Speeds have been all the way up to 85 and NOTHING. For the first time in 4 months and 6 trips to the dealership, I actually enjoy driving my truck. Don't get me wrong, I'm nervous as I hear several of you talking it was a few thousand miles before your issues started and I'll stay on top of it. I really do hope GM figures out this issue and I hope even more all of you get your issues fixed! Sucks all of us lose thousands of dollars combined against a billion dollar company who could honestly give two sh%^'s less. Luckily I had an awesome dealership that was always willing to try and figure out the issue.

Well so far so good! Picked it up today after they put a new drive shaft on it. Took it down the highway and out on the interstate. About a 50 mile round trip and so far so good!! Got it up to 85 and smooth as glass. No shaking anywhere. Had a bottle of water in the cupholder and it didn't bounce around anymore (had the same bottle at the same level in there since this started). Nothing in the seats, nothing in the floorboard and nothing in the steering wheel. My wife said she couldn't feel anything on the passenger side and she held the steering wheel as well and didn't feel it. I will be traveling in it the next two days on the interstate and will put another couple hundred on it during that time. Keeping my fingers crossed they fixed it! I told them I'll call them back in a week and let them know either way.

Just hit the "send" button and my dealership called and said my new drive shaft is on and the truck is "smooth" above 70. Headed to pick it up and take it for a drive. I'll report back shortly. Fingers crossed.....

Where I live the interstate is turnpike so you have to pay to get on which makes for a better surface. It's smooth blacktop which I drive almost daily in my Chevy Traverse and it's smooth as glass. There is a section of interstate going into the city that is concrete and my truck bounces so bad on it my 5 year old thinks the inflection in her voice is funny (which of course I find irritating...not my daughter but the bouncing made by the truck). My F150 I traded for this Silverado never bounced like this truck does. My F-150 was a FX4 so it had the stiffer suspension. Other than the spray-in bed liner and the tonneau cover, my truck is all factory. No lifts, factory tires (2nd set).

So after they put the clamps on my drive shaft it actually cleared up a lot of the vibration. It's now out of the seats but I feel it in the steering wheel and floorboard. So they ordered me a new drive shaft and it is in. I take my truck in (#6 visit) on Monday so they can change out the drive shaft. I know some of you have had this done and it worked and others have and it didn't do anything. I'll let all of you know what is does for me after Monday....

Picked my truck up from the dealership on Thursday after they put the bandaids (hose clamps) on the drive shaft. Wasn't able to get it out on the interstate until today. Well, the vibration is gone from the seats BUT now it's all in the steering wheel and the floor, where it wasn't before. I also didn't have the V4 vibration others have stated but I do now. UGH!!! That was visit #5 so I'll be talking to the dealership on Monday about taking this piece of metal back!

Well I just got off the phone with my service manager. My truck has been there since Tuesday. They are telling me the drive shaft has to be balanced, which he says will be done by adding two hose clamps. This is trip #5. Obviously I'm going to give them a chance but from reading through the replies on this thread it's not going to work. Has this worked for anyone?

Wow...so I go out and buy a $56G truck, thinking GM is a good truck, but failed to go and read a post that originated in August 2013 prior to buying and it's my fault and now I'm supposed to take my hard earned deployment money and just throw it out the window? Come on man, if this post has been running for this long, there's an issue. I'm not saying each and every 2014 and newer out there on the road is vibrating. If that was the case, GM would of done something. What I am saying is there is obviously some problem out there that GM can't figure out. I'm glad you did a re-balance and your vibration is "nearly gone". I've done two re-balances and new tires all around and I still have a vibration. And honestly, being a truck guy all my life, just as I'm sure many others have been, I know how a truck rides. I've never owned anything other than a truck. I don't want a truck that has a vibration "nearly gone". Trucks ride rougher than a car, I get that, but this vibration is obvious. Just as my Harley, if I wanted a smooth riding bike I would of bought a Honda, but I went with a Harley because I like the ride. But that still doesn't mean I would live with a vibration going down the interstate. Sitting at a red light though...of course I want that vibration lol I'm not on here throwing a fit and demanding answers and saying "Let's charge the hill, who's with me?". I simply jumped on Google and found this forum in searching for answers. As you can tell, with my whopping 3 posts now, I recently discovered this forum and this website for that matter. I wouldn't have came here if I didn't have a problem. My dealership is working good with me and they are taking it in again this week. Yes, it's irritating. It costs me money and time away from work running it back and forth to the dealership. Will they figure it out? Who knows. I sure in the heck hope so because outside this vibration issue I love my truck. It has every dang bell and whistle known to man. I don't have the other issues I've read about like radio reception issues or transmission shifting issues (knock on wood). I have one issue I would like fixed so I can move on and be happy with my new ride. I just ask that you not jump all over me while trying to figure out this problem and accuse me of not reading 489 pages of stuff before I bought my truck. Happy New Year!

Funny you say this! When I started having this problem, I called my dad and asked him to call his dealer who is a small dealership in farm country to ask him if he's had any problems. He was told by his dealer that he sells a lot of Silverado's due to it being cattle country and he's never had a customer complaint. The very next day the dealer received a phone call from a customer who drove to the "city" and was on interstate and his truck shook him to death. My dad's dealer called my dad right away who in return called me. I think there are many more of these trucks out there with the problem but people don't live in areas that allow them to get to the interstate speeds of 70+.

No better way to get my post numbers up than to "join the club". Bought a 2015 Silverado Crew Cab Z71 in September, 2015. I didn't take it out on the highway when I test drove it and personally think they didn't want me to because it was completely out of gas. I told the salesman and he said, "You have enough to get around town, right?" Well I was just going to pick up my wife from work and take her to lunch so I went with it (that will never happen again). This is my first GM as I have been a Ford man from the beginning and I've never had a problem but my dad has been a GM man so I thought I'd give it a chance. It drove like a Chevy should around town which has speeds around 45-50 mph so we bought it. ​That following weekend we had to go to a retirement party about 2 hrs away down the interstate. The second we got over 70 mph the truck violently shook. It was so bad it literally made us sick to our stomach. About an hour down the road I called the dealership and told them about the issue. They said if it was dangerous to go ahead and call roadside. I just slowed it down so it wasn't as bad and continued as I didn't want to miss the party. I took it in the following week and they said my drivers front tire was out of balance. They balanced all the tires and sent me on my way. Got it on the interstate and it was back. Not as bad but very obvious. Took it back and they said the drivers front tire was out of round (I keep reading that all over this forum but never heard of this issue since radial tires so either that's just an excuse GM keeps using or maybe there are tires that are issues) so they replaced that tire. Got it on the interstate and issue still there. Took it back again and this time they changed the remaining three tires out. Got it on the interstate and the issue continued. I even called the Service Manager while I was driving and was telling him when I'd feel it and when it would go away. Uphill, downhill, acceleration, slowing down, V4, nothing mattered, it was still there. Service Manager said he couldn't do anything until I had 500 miles on the new tires so I drove it until I had over 500 miles and the vibration is still there. Have to admit I'm getting irritated at service and myself having to put miles on my truck because GM has an issue. My Ford was a 2009 (bought it in 2008) with only 60,000 miles because I have an issued work vehicle so I don't drive my personal vehicle a lot. Took it back (after the 500 miles he wanted me to put on it) and he said all four tires were out of balance by 3 ounces each. After they rebalanced them he got it out on the highway and said he didn't feel the vibration anymore. I asked him if he got on the interstate so he could get over 70 and he said no, he only got it to 70 and didn't feel anything. Ok, what part of "over 70" do you not understand?? geesh! I took it out on the interstate the following day and the vibration is still there. I called right away and the Service Manager said he'd have to do some research and he'd get back with me. After four days I drove down to the dealership and spoke with a General Manager (drove my work vehicle because I refuse to put more miles on my truck). General Manager talked to the Service Manager and said he'd call me back personally once they figured something out. The following day I got a call from the General Manager and he said they recently bought an expensive machine that checks for vibration (I'm taking it this is the pico scope...correct me if I'm wrong). He said they didn't have it set up yet but it would be ready by this next Monday (January 4) and they would like me to drop it off all day January 5 so they can hook it up to the machine. Our interstate is Turnpike so it's paid for and a very smooth blacktop. I drive it weekly for work in a 2014 Chevy Traverse and it is smooth as glass. This is so frustrating as I have a $55,000 piece of metal sitting in my garage! I can't drive it because it's so irritating to drive and I don't want to put more miles on it if it comes down to the lemon law. Some of the posts I've read is guys have had GM purchase their vehicle back but they had to pay for the miles they used the vehicle. So it sits! I'll keep everyone up to date next week when I take it back for the 5th time...ugh!!!
