  1. Good to know, thanks. Hopefully the new spoiler bolts are being used now that manufacturing has resumed.
  2. I don't think truck size necessarily has anything to do with it. The Tundra Prinsu racks sell just fine. As popular as overlanding is at the moment, it's probably just a matter of time before one is available.
  3. I searched but couldn't find any, but just in case I missed it, is anyone having leaking issues with the solid glass rear windows, or is this isolated to slider rear windows only?
  4. Looks really sharp! Man, I'm loving how caps look on the new gen body style. The rear spoiler on the cab blends right into the cap perfectly. I'll probably get a cap at some point, once I trade in to a 2020 here soon. There's been some awesome cab and cap racks coming out the last few years. I'm hoping Prinsu will make a T1 cab rack soon. I need a full cab/cap rack combo so I can climb up on top and load kayaks, canoes, and rafts.
  5. I'm blown away you got them that low. Is that on a 6.2 AT4???
  6. that's over 20% off MSRP, sounds like a great deal to me.
  7. For those with the aluminum retrax, can you stand on them? I'm a buck 80 soaking wet....
  8. Be sure to clean it about once a month and apply 303. My X2 is two years old and going strong. Edit: I also ordered a second cab gasket from Bak to go behind the first one I laid down, since a little water was getting in. Now it's dry as a bone.
  9. Can you or someone else with the Havoc HS2's tell me how wide those steps are? looks like about 12 inches or so, right? My wife is wanting to make sure she can stand with both feet on them when putting our kids in the back seat. These look like a great alternative to the expensive new OEM black hoop steps.
  10. Just to report back after a year and half of ownership, my Bakflip Revolver X2 is still dry and working well. My truck is garage kept when not out and about and it doesn't make the commute to work. I did have to install a second bulkhead gasket strip behind my original one up at the cab, since I placed the first one too far forward and there was a gap on the sides between it and the cover. The vinyl has help up very will with regular cleanings and treatments with 303 protectant. One bit of advice... loctite the threads of the bolts that stick from the front of the cover down through their brackets that you have to lay on your back to tighten as you complete the cover installation. That way they don't slip and the cover creep over time.
  11. I am interested in hearing this as well, I am considering these bars but will need to know that info.
  12. Same with me, I've had my X2 since April and have 303'd it twice so far. Still looks brand new. I frequent dirt roads so I have had to roll the cover up and clean the rails and sides of the cover, as well as tighten down some of the bolts. I also wanted to redo the front bulkhead and Bak shipped me a new one no questions asked. Very happy.
  13. You boys make sure you check with Morrie at http://tonneaufactoryoutlet.com/,before you overspend somewhere else.
  14. I want to second this. Bak was kind enough to ship me another bulkhead to re-do my initial bulkhead installation, and now that I know what I'm doing I only have a few drops of water leaking around the tailgate edges after a big storm. As with most rack manufacturers, for a little more they will sell you a locking mechanism. In this case, the knobs you see above come in a locking configuration.
  15. yep I called them yesterday and a new bulkhead is on the way. Regarding the rack setup, I need a setup where I can carry 5-8 kayaks up top, while having my bed free and secured with a cover. The Bak covers are compatible with this rack which I will be getting soon as I have the funds. TracRac SR
  16. Yeah mine is slightly raised, evenly, across the back next to the tailgate but the inner seal keeps it dry. I do have some slight leakage when it storms up by the cab, and that is due to my placement of the weather seal. It needed to be a little further back, I think I'm going to have BAK ship me another of the bigger weather seals so I can place it behind the one I have in there now and that should seal it up nice.
  17. I second this notion. It looks like the rail is not all the way down. After a week or two of driving with the cover on, I had to go back and tighten everything down again because the gap between my tailgate and the cover was as big as yours only all the way across. I also had to slide it back up towards the cab some, it had worked its way down. Just part of installing it by myself, I guess. I'm still super-happy with mine.
  18. Hell yeah! Looks good man. Glad the install went well. I'm loving mine and my only gripe is it's constantly getting covered with pollen here in pine tree land. One thing i'm working on overcoming is that stacking a bed-load full of kayaks on their sides does push pretty hard on the tonneau's rails. Right now I've got some pipe insulation from home depot i'm putting on the rails to keep kayaks from bending them. I need a Trac Rac.
  19. Yep I tried that first but couldn't get the cover to stay lined up just right.
  20. At speeds over 70mph it does move a little as the truck bounces with the road. Not bad though. Below 70 I noticed little if any movement.
  21. My new Revolver X2(BAK-39120) came in the mail today from tonneau factory outlet. ONE DAY SHIPPING, thanks to being just one state over from the warehouse. Anyways, on to the install. I'm not going to go step by step, what I will do is share some things I learned along the way to hopefully help save someone some time and headache in the future. Vehicle: 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Crew Cab 5'8" bed w/ factory drop-in plastic liner. First thing of note, the bulkhead. It says if you have a drop-in liner to use the thinner 1/4" bulkhead seal and for spray-in the thicker 3/4" seal. based on a hunch I used the thicker seal and it ended up being the correct choice. It's a good idea to clean the top of the bed with alcohol first, as with most adhesive work. See image below: I also used the remaining bulkhead seal to shore up the corners: The rails were easy to install. The cover is heavy, don't almost drop it like I did while trying to set it up on the rails. What worked best for me was to get the cover in place and tighten the nylon locking nuts most of the way, then check the fitment and then roll the cover up to fully tighten the nuts. Otherwise, the cover likes to creep on you while tightening and it is annoying when you're on your own. Final fitment: Another note: watch the latches. I made sure that I allowed enough space between the metal bracket and the plastic housing of the latch, so that the metal doesn't rub the plastic. and that's it!
  22. Just pulled the trigger on a Revolver X2 from Morrie at Tonneufactoryoutlet. Great price and service.
  23. Anyone bought a Bak revolver online recently? I'm about to pull the trigger this week and was wondering what the going rate is lately for one.
  24. One thing I don't understand is why the All Terrains have color matched bumpers and grill surrounds, but yet have chrome mirror, window, and door handles? If it were me designing it there wouldn't be any chrome.
