2015 here with 53k on the clock. Last week no AC out of the blue. Sure enough the condenser had a crack along the seam. Luckily I have the extended warranty. Using this method should the wheel turn on no matter the temp outside or does it have to be below a certain temp? I installed the wire per this thread and it doesn't light up but it's 65 or more degrees out.
This is great information and exactly what I have been looking for to get mine up and running after the clock spring and wheel install. I believe I found the terminal for the fuse block. Please see the link and let me know your thoughts.

The issue you are having after you changed the harness has been reported before in this thread. From what I've read on this subject the best thing to do is use original harness, new switch, and wire the signals and puddle lights separate. Just my .02
