  1. So out of desperation, I decided to drop my truck off at the Chevrolet dealership. Turns out the problem Was the Transfer Case Actuator. Otherwise known as the Encoder Motor. But the best news of the day is that it is still covered under the 100K mile drive train warranty. I assumed since it was in electrical part that it would not be covered under the drive train warranty but I was wrong.
  2. Yes I have tried disconnecting the battery and no luck there. Thanks for the info on the other threads. I'll read through them tonight. As far as the transfer case flash, I'll have to call the dealership about that as I bought the truck used. Thanks alot for the reply.
  3. Hi guys and gals. My 2014 Silverado 1500 has the electronic 4wd shift knob. I recently switched it from the normal 2wd position to the 4wd high position while driving on soft grass. When I went to shift the truck back from 4wd to 2wd, the truck itself never disengaged out of 4wd. I've been driving for 3 days now with the truck stuck in 4wd. Now the symptoms are that I'm getting the "Service 4WD" message on my dash instrument panel. The 4WD selector dial only lights up when it's in the 4wd high position and not in any other position. I've tried backing up and turning the 4wd selector switch and nothing changes. So my question is; Has anyone else out there with a 14 and up Silverado/Sierra experienced this and what was your diagnosis? Also, is there any way I can manually shift my transfer case out of 4wd so I can at least drive in 2wd until I am able to fix my problem correctly? Thanks for any advice
