  1. I put a heated wheel in my 2018 a couple of years ago it had the plug but it was dead so I ordered a harness from harness Dr and it was quite easy to install.
  2. Hi just wondering if anyone has any experience with this manual for 25 bucks if it is any good I was thinking it would be useful to have around.
  3. I vote for the Michelin Defenders I went from a 18 inch Good Year that came stock on my truck to a 20 inch Michelin Defender and it was a big improvement it has much better traction in wet and snow plus it is quieter and rides smother even though it would have a shorter sidewall.
  4. Thanks that is actually what got me thinking of upgrading there is very little price differeance between the two.
  5. Hi I seem to have the dreaded noisy alternator and I was wondering if anyone has replaced a 150 amp alternator with the 170 amp alternator? I was thinking if I have to replace it and it would fit I might as well go with the bigger alternator. I am not sure if it makes any difference or not I have a 2018 Silverado with a 6.2 thanks for your time with my question.
  6. Thank you very much for the help.
  7. Hi I have a 2018 Silverado with a 6.2 l and I have a code P0131 which from what I can gather is a 02 sensor 1 bank 1 and I think that would be be the upstream sensor but I was wondering on what side on the engine any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Thanks Jim I will have to look into this.
  9. Hi I was wondering if there is a cost effective tool out there for programming a new key fob to my 2018 Silverado? I am trying to avoid a dealer visit if possible thanks for your time with my request.
  10. The only ones I have found are the outer tie rod ends.
  11. HI i doubt this will work but it is easy to try when my presets disappeared on my 18 Silverado 1500 I swiped up on the screen and things went back to normal.
  12. Hi I am not sure if this would work for you but this is what I use on my 18 here in Sask. and I have not had any problems with it this winter I just took of the hose clamp and used the cap by itself. https://www.homedepot.ca/product/pro-connect-flexible-pipe-cap-2/1000450727

  15. Hi diyer yes it smells very much like gas it does take a week or so before the oil would gradually rise to 1/2 inch over full so far it only has 4000 miles on it
  16. Well I gave it a compression test there was more variance then I would like but it is still a new engine
  17. thanks 2strokesmoke so far the dealers have done the oil changes so I am not sure what they have used for oil. I think a compression test is a good idea I will do that today would anyone know the torque spec is for the plugs on this engine? Thanks again for the help.
  18. Thanks guys I have suggested that but because it is not throwing codes they did not think it was injectors. I will start pushing that next. One good thing they admit there is something going on since my oil is so diluted in such a short time. I will keep you posted if they ever figure out the problem.
  19. Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone has experienced the problem I am having with my 2016 Silverado. It is a 4x4 with 5.3l. The truck is about six months old, and has a little over 4 000 miles on it. The oil level in the truck will rise about 1/2 a inch over the full mark within 150 miles after an oil change. I have been back to the dealer 5 times so far, and they replaced the high pressure fuel pump twice. They cannot seem to figure out what to do next. I am wondering if anyone on here has any suggestions. It also never turns on any lights, and it seems to run fine. Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks so much!!
