  1. Mine is that way too, and it's a real problem because the odometer is part of that display, and I have to enter the mileage for my corporate fuel card on almost a daily basis. If I don't do it in the morning, I have to guess, and that upsets the bean counters if I'm off a lot.
  2. Apparently it's something new GM is doing, never had this problem with my previous two trucks. My 2016 is exactly the same model and options as my 2015, but only the 2016 is doing it. We have around a hundred and twenty five 2015 models, and don't have this issue with any of them, so I don't know why GM thought it was a problem and changed it into a problem for 2016.
  3. It's getting to be a real issue, I use a fleet fuel card, and I have to enter the mileage, with the display so dim, the odometer is unreadable. Don't know why they changed it for the 2016 model. Never had an issue with it on the 2015, and it appears they are not going to fix it saying it's operating as designed!
  4. Still haven't heard a reply from the dealer, it does appear to be related to outside light. The brighter the day, the dimmer the display. This didn't happen on my previous 2015. That's why I made the service writer look at it while it was doing it. Also it has the rough idle that my 2012 had, that my 2015 didn't.
  5. Ok, took it by the dealer last week, was able to show the service writer what it was doing, she is going to contact GM to find out the next step to schedule an appointment. Have not heard back from them yet, so apparently this problem doesn't have a solution yet.
  6. I also tried the dimmer wheel, it dims the dash lights, but does nothing for the display.
  7. My other 2500 HD just got sideswiped by a driver that fell asleep behind the wheel, so I went and picked up another new one from our lot, and it has the same issue. My other one worked fine, and I had 90,000 miles on it. This one has only 1000. I'm taking it to the dealer, but was hoping I would find something to point the dealer in the right direction. Didn't have too good of luck out of them on the Stabilitrak on the other one. Of course I can't really blame them because apparently any Stabiltrak codes are not stored, so they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.
