Alright guys looking for a little help. I picked up a set of the stock LTZ 22's this weekend and have read though this entire post to see if my current set up will accommodate the 22's with Nitto Terra Grappler G2 Tires in 285/55R22. Current set up is 2016 Silverado 1500 LT CC Standard Bed and I have the RC 2" level. Seems that everyone that is running that size of tire is running the 2.5" kit. I am sure I will have rubbing of the liner and what sounds like possibly rubbing of the factory mud guard. Is there anything else and or am I going to need to increase my level/lift to the 2.5"?

From the name looks like a fellow Hoosier in here. I take my oscillating sprinkler and place it under the truck for about a half hour and place it in 3 locations under the truck (Front, Middle, and Rear) and let it run about 5 min in each spot to fully rinse the underside of the truck each spring. Some of the neighbors come out and ask if I am watering it to help it grow bigger lol.

I personally started out with a cheap one that I got off some ad on Instagram, think it was $40 shipped with the foam cannon and a wand with no extension (basically it is the trigger to a quick disconnect). It worked but was way more of a pain than it was helpful. It always started to leak about half way though washing my truck. I had replaced one of the seals in it about 3 times and finally got fed up with it. I tossed it in the bottom of my box and ordered a Chemical Guys one. Total world of difference, I have no leaks and it has been nothing but pleasant using it. The thing to also look at is you usually get about $20-30 worth of soap when you buy from CG, plus they did just have a 30% off sale and they are still running $2.99 flat rate shipping. Basically what I am saying is you can get one from CG for fairly cheap if you look for the right deals and take into account that you get soap with it.

My local dealer is $60 for oil change and rotate. If I buy filter and oil its about $55. I'll gladly spend $5 extra to not have the hassle. And I get to drink coffee, watch TV, and know that if anything happens it is all documented.

To a point. As someone that has both the cheap one and the Chemical Guys Torq foam cannon. I can say without a doubt the Chemical Guys is hands down better. Every single time I used my cheap one I had a new leak from some fitting or union. I have taken it apart twice and re-sealed the unit and was still getting leaks. The quality and quantity of foam from the CG is better, the pressure is better, the control is better and it just overall seems a lot heavier duty. When you factor in that you get 3 soaps with the cannon it isn't such a bad deal.

Pamaguin, what are you using to black out everything, including the lower chrome trim piece above the valance?

I have been eyeing these since December when I replaced my 15 with a 16. Everyone that rides with me complains that it is too hard to get into the truck with the level. I have been trying to find a cheap solution to stop the constant bickering I get! How does the overall fit and finish of these steps appear? I also wondered about the actual step as it seems it is just a thin piece of bent sheet metal...

I might just bite the bullet and build a set-up once I take delivery of my new truck, fingers crossed it's sometime soon.

I have been looking around quite a bit and it seems that you can buy just the filters at the local box store no problem, I just wasn't sure how these would work as a filtration for an electric power washer and if they were capable of being rejuvenated like the ones that come in the $150 systems they sell like the one rdnckhntr94 made. I hate having to take my truck through the carwash but with my hard water and lack of shade it makes it really challenging to get a decent wash. My plan was to make a stand to mount the filters on that I would then plumb over to my electric power washer and use a foam cannon. I've just been real hesitant on doing it since I have heard and read many mixed reviews.

Please keep us posted on how it works! Maybe a little how-to once tested with links of where you purchased your filters? I have been looking into making a system like this rather than buying one and have heard mixed reviews on the ones you can purchase so I have been on the fence for some time.
