  1. Thanks for the reply.. does limp mode usually shut everything down for a second as you’re driving? Any idea what an average shop might charge to check this out? I don’t think it’s something I can tackle myself over a weekend unfortunately..
  2. Is this really a possible cause of all of the other problems that I’m having, or is this just in reference to the “2 keys programmed” alert? I have wireless carplay and it displays my phone type before it connects, and I noticed that it has a second phone that is saved in the now. I figured it just picked someone up while I was sitting in traffic but now you got me nervous.
  3. Hey! I can manage the basics of a vehicle but this is beyond me.. So starting Monday, I went to start my 2016 Silverado using the fob and nothing was happening. Great, I’m thinking the battery is dead somehow even though I just replaced it less than a year ago. So I go out and start it with the key. The screen flashed and said “2 keys programmed”. I thought that was strange but everything worked normally on the way to work and on the way home, so I thought it was just a weird fluke. Tuesday was fine…Wednesday I had to start the car with the key again. Everything was fine after that. Thursday, I had to start it with the key and everything was fine on the way to work. On the way home, my truck was possessed. Lights flickering, AC shutting down or dying way down, a handful of times the truck just died on the highway..like shut down - no lights, no power steering, music, everything shut down - then it would pick back up again by itself after a second. I got it home, popped the hood and checked the battery terminals..everything was clean and tight. Started it up again and it said “engine power is reduced” on the dash. I wanted to go for a quick test drive to see what that meant, but upon shifting into reverse, I had no throttle response whatsoever.. it didn’t even register the pedal being pressed. Now I’m nervous, so I run inside and start googling. I saw a few people with similar problems and others telling them to get their ECU reflashed. I ran outside one more time just to test things out, and this time the “engine power is reduced” message didn’t pop up, and the throttle worked just fine..but I didn’t want to risk taking it for a drive so I left it be for now. Anyone have any clues? Sorry if there is already a post on this, I have no idea what to search because this seems so involved. Thanks!

  5. 1.) Absolutely. It's one of my main reasons for financing my truck over leasing it. I guess I would say top priority is a great price/quality ratio. I don't want anything dirt cheap built with terrible quality, and obviously you can throw absurd amounts of money out and get products that are built with the utmost quality. I'm looking for affordable quality. I do base most purchases on heavily reading reviews, though. 2.) It depends on what the negative reviews entailed. If they were just nitpicking the product, well - you general get what you pay for, I wouldn't be expecting perfection. But in general, no... For most accessories, unless there is a crazy difference in price (50-60% more expensive) I will generally steer towards higher quality. 3.) Nope. I think if anything, the opposite is more true. Function over form is the way to go. Thanks! I could use a few lights for my truck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Still got these? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks! I actually did that while i was waiting for the police... Right on the app, Geico makes it really easy hahaha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thank you... I'm not using my insurance because I don't want my premiums to go up.. His Insurance will cover the deductible, right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thank you for the info! And yeah at least i have that going for me haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Will there be much attempt to repair this or will most of it get replaced? How is aftermarket vs OEM if the other guys insurance won't pay for OEM? Sorry, my first major accident, I have no clue what I'm doing! I was sideswiped by a UPS trailer truck on the highway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. OnStar data is provided by AT&T if I'm not mistaken. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Lol I've had no problems since, it was just that one day! It's actually been really awesome to have! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah! More Connecticut people, Sweet!
  14. I just found out about this while looking for different options. Has anyone tried it yet? It seems very cheap compared to some of the other mylink mods, and seems relatively easy to install, but I don't know how it holds up. $250 for smart phone mirroring, and the option to add signal camera and a front cam. Also, does anyone know if there is a mod that would allow not just mirroring of your phone's screen but the ability to control it via the mylink touch screen?
  15. Good to know, I'll order them up today, thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs 265/65R18 with stock black wheels that came on my '16 LT Z71 Midnight Edition
  17. Perfect! So if I get three receivers I'd be able to program each one for the homelink and also for the remote?
  18. I'm looking into one of the range OBD II plug ins that disabled V4..is that what gets rid of the throttle tip in, or was it something else in the tune?
  19. As in I can use my unlimited onstar data on my AT&T cell phone lines?
  20. Thanks! Do you know if I can program different lights for each button on the homelink? This is great
  21. I don't own a garage so I've been meaning to repurpose the homelink! How do you go about wiring that up and programming it to the homelink?
  22. Thanks for the help! I think I'll give this a shot next warm weekend!
