  1. Hey guys, so this post is to backup Datlon Delogu & jbr1888. I have a 2020 Siverado 1500 LT Double Cab. Got it in January 2020 after trading in my 2014 Silverado with 135K on it. (WHOLE NOTHER STORY THERE!). BUT I when I go this 2020 truck it was a 'loaner' special from the dealership. It had 3100 miles on it already. I now have about 15.4k miles.. (techically 12.1k miles that I have put on it). I was helping a friend move into his new house and pulling my 14' utility Lamar trailer with front axle brakes I put on after purchase. Also note that I have a Tekonsha P3 brake controller cause my truck was installed with OEM controller. I by no means come close to max'ing out the GVWR of that trailer/truck capacity. I think max weight I put on trailer was MAYBE 2500 to 3000lbs max. I don't think this has any relevance to the issue but stating the information just in case. Trailer is rated for 7000 lbs. SO, I made 2 trips without noticing any issues. But somewhere between the 3rd trip and going home, i notice the engine light came on. So when I got home I pulled out the Code Reader and I got a the 11 codes duplicated of course, but here is the order they read in first to last... U0146/P25A2/U0101/U0100/P25A2/U0146/U0101/U0100/U0146/U0101/U0100. I don't know the exact time(s) this truck 'threw-up' on itself but here are some things I did read about and notice that some of the information sort of matches what I have read: 1. I have all software updates, including a recent TCM being the latest - this was mentioned by others to have recent updates similar to TCM update. 2. I did backup the trailer to the garage to unload which was up a slight upgrade, my truck facing downhill. (i saw somewhere some information about steering wheel position sensor still being on after the truck is turned off and sensing some sort of vehicle movement while on a grade) 3. I did remote start my once or twice to get it cooling with trailer attached (it is currently HOT HOT HOT here in Texas). I never used the app to start it. 4. There was couple of times i did turn on the accessory power ( hitting start button without foot brake), then once done, I put foot brake, start the truck, then turned off to shut all power off. Don't know the timing of all these events as I wasn't paying that close attention but know I did do that while moving my friend. I'm really hoping that this is merely a software issue. I don't believe I have had any other issues up to this point. BUT if this is going to turn into another gremlin issue. I WILL be done with GM trucks forever. To reference the "WHOLE NOTHER STORY THERE!" above, on my 2014 Silverado, there was a Neutral Safety Switch issue I kept running into AND a misfire on cylinder #5 that was starting to turn into deep engine issues and I have by no means abused my vehicles. You can see some of my information if you search for my name Tazzin or look this up 'P182E P0700 CODE' I'm turning my truck in tomorrow, Monday August 17, to the small dealership that did the software update. I'll report back when I have more information from. I WILL be probing the tech to see if I can get anymore information about how common this issue is AFTER the recent updates.
  2. So sorry for the any delay on the reply but I DID check both of those posts, the sound barrier/insulating layer was not caught up under the nut... I'm am now down to trying to find the time to take it into the shop for have chevy dealership take a look at this much, MUCH deeper. I have only had my P182e code throw once or twice since I last posted in this thread. Again, not near as bad as some and my issue may not even be a 'grounding' issue. BUT, when I get the time, I'm going to take it in to the dealership for the to run down. Next time the code throws I'm not going to clear it out, i'll just let it cycle itself out and retain in memory. Any how, this may take me a while to get my truck in the shop. I was told that they are 5 days behind in getting tranny work in for the work and I can't schedule this and bring it in the day it should be in, i have to take it in now and leave it for the XX numbers of day before they get to it which I think is a STUPID STUPID procedure/process (COUGH ...COUGH STONEBRIAR COUGH COUGH!!!!)... Anyhow. as soon as I get it figured out I'll reply back with my issue and the fix guys.. Sorry for massive delay on this but this is going to take some time to get my truck in after it happens again and find the time to get the time to leave it there for them to troubleshoot.
  3. Hey guys, I'm going to chime in on this one as well, but my symptoms are somewhat different. I have joined another forum at gmtruckclub forum to hopefully find and get answers. The full information can be found here. https://www.gmtruckclub.com/forum/threads/2014-silverado-1500-double-cab-5-3l-3-42-gears-p182e-p1915-p0700.1453776/ But let me at least tell you my symptoms (which isn't near as bad as some of the other poor guys on this forum has stated). My is simply a p182e/0700 which in essence is the Internal Mode Switch attached to the TCM and stabilitrak errors. These are VERY sporadic and do not appear to be heat sensitive.. Happens in the morning in the cool of the hours when first starting the truck or not happen for days at at time. The Internal Mode Switch has been replaced at least 3 times in the past year so the same shop is now looking into that little electrical gremlin. ;). If you read that post above, that will explain everything i have encountered. BUT I am going to look at and even try to make the connections better on those 2 - G218 ground post in the dash this weekend. I will keep monitoring this thread and posting back my replies in both locations if I feel the information is helpful and relevant. I seriously hope you guys find your gremlin and get it fixed. I know I'm ready for mine to be fixed although mine is a lot more tolerable and not near as severe as some of you other guys.
  4. Might be a little late but this is a link to setup based on your car ... http://www.homelink.com/program/process/1
  5. Not sure why there would be an issue. As long as you have power to the transmitter, it should be able to be programmed as it is a 'self contained' unit that doesn't require anything else to do with the vehicles computer system, ONLY the power plug is required. There is a setup that must be done, http://www.homelink.com/program/watchvideo Hope this helps.. I do remember having to reprogram it after I messed it up the first time.
  6. Hey ladies & gents, Just to give a quick update on this, I know this is a bit late but for anyone else wanting to know this. You FIRST need to go to some place like www.gmpartsonline.net and drill down to you make/year/model and ensure there is a option for a replacement for the trim/harness/buttons/transmiiter for your vehicle, IF you DO see these options, you more than likely will be able to do this OEM style and not aftermarket (not guaranteed based on you situation). The transmitter for mine is as stated by another guy, that all is needs is power, it doesn't connect to anything else like the vehicle computer or anything, it is self contained. I decided to do the research on this after being told from the dealership, "You can't add this to your vehicle".. Upon researching this myself, I found I could buy a new harness (to have the OEM HomeLink plug on it), Trim plate (to be able to add the buttons), the buttons themselves and the transmitter. All in all I think I spent about 180.00 to keep it OEM. I WAS able to do it. I have a video that show tips and tricks on a 2014 silverado LT and changing the said above parts on the overhead console.. I made a youtube video on this make/model/color for my truck. I seriously hope is helps others wanting to do the same thing. I also upgraded my OEM 4.2" radio (i04) without OEM backup camera to a 8" (i05 - no nav) with OEM backup camera on the same truck. I'm getting together a small video on this as well and post it on my channel in youtube.
