  1. Meant to put the rear quarter door from an ecsb
  2. Currently my dd is a '00 Silverado ecsb. I've been slowly modifying my truck over the last three years. Started simple but I already had my crazy ideas and plans after fixing a hit and run accident. Not my fault. I caught the modding bug after driving here and there looking for parts. Did the sanding and a little body work myself at a family friend shop. Brother had an '85 c10 with the burb front clip and door. This got me thinking what can fit 99-02 trucks. Current mods on truck: 07 or 08 rear bench seat. Friend welded my old seats left side bracket to new seat. Cutting and grinding are required. -99-06- all power suburban seats. Direct swap. '14-'16 jumpseat with '99-'06 truck or suv bracket. Cutting and welding required. Works better without arm rest seats. Removed my "BROKEN" center console and cuz I didnt like that it was short. Couldnt get the usb to charge only. Added a dual usb charger inplace. Had led cluster, switches and headlights I did myself before truck was stolen. Recovered but audio system and anything led including ashtray, footwell and glove box lights were taken. So far everything I've done is still reversible since I'm modifying unoriginal equipment to fit my truck. Now to the nitty gritty of this post. As I stated I've just done slight mods. I want to know if any of you have done any custom work on your '99-'06 trucks using parts from '07 and up? I've seen '07 and up HD hood sections grafted to '06 and below along with tail lights or even whole front clips. Some things are possible with work but not all unless you really heavily modify. So the big question is can a 2007 nnbs doors from an ecsb fit an ecsb like mine? Are they the same dimensions? Im asking since most people look into tailight or front ends swaps. I really like the fact that the windows can roll down and want to see if it's even possible. Im a bit crazy as I had the idea of swapping a '14 dash into an nbs truck. Friend of my brother has an impala dash in a '85 c10 so I though what the heck I'll look into it. Let me know if you think I'm nuts for even having this cross my mind.
  3. Hmm. I'll give er another shot otherwise I'm gonna have to put this puppy down. I did look at the connection from the seat and did see a thick red wire that stood out and a black one that is like the rest. Maybe it is flipped since I just copied how the pic was. My original crazy idea after getting this seat was to install the full console in my 2000 if I could make this work just splicing a bit of wire and a voltage stepdown if needed. The full blown crazy ass idea was to research if a 2015 dash would fit lower years like my 2000. Yes I'm a bit insane. ? Though I'm going to reference this if my next truck doesnt have the full console.
  4. So Darth, I tried it this morning and it didn't power the usb. On the other hand it was making some buzzing like sound. So it probably works or its damaged. If its only possible because it needs a special signal then ill just toss it and put aftermarket replacement. Would be badass though if it was stock.
  5. You know, I should've just done that from the start. Lol. I did one by one since I hid my center console wires (under carpet) and couldnt tap into them at the moment. However I was using an 18650 bat with dc-dc step up module. (no proper power supply) I'll give it a shot and report back results after Uni.
  6. I've finally found exactly what I needed to try and make this work. Im using 12v to the pins listed and still no power to usb. I dont have a 14-16 silvy. Im trying to get the usb to charge only on the jump seat i installed in my 2000 silvy. Do i need to have the usb connected also along with 12v to get it to charge? Just need to be able to charge. Please advise what needs to be done. Thanks guys
