there are A LOT of discussions on this topic but yet to find one person to specifically point out what the problem is its not like a hey if you are having that clunking/popping noise yo need to do this to fix it. it usually ends in has anyone figured out a way to fix this lol
no rubbing nor did i have to do any trimming i have not heard of the nor cal mod ill have to do some research my rims are +18 so i got away without cutting.
yes to both:( once i get up to speed above 15 its fine even when turning its backing up or turning at like 5mph that it clunks and its quite loud
6" bds with 20" cali offroad Americana and 35" nittos now i wish that never got installed... i now have the famous clunking noise its cool to drive but also very embarrassing to pull out of a parking lot without people wondering if my shit just broke lol
They are doing a spotlight on the truck at the end of the month so you can check out the build progress on Facebook or YouTube

I also just bought mcgaughys 7-9" black SS kit. And tires and wheels 35"nitto trail grapplers and 20/9/+18 cali offroad Americana wheels (not a fan of deep dish rims) I have a 2014 High Country all this will be going on I'll be posting pictures at the end of the month. I do have a set of blisteen shocks laying around I was thinking about putting on for the rear but not sure if they will work I gotta do some more browsing on the blisteen thread.
When did they start using stamped steel on the 1500's? I am waiting for a truck but wanted to buy the lift kit ahead of time im 90% sure from reading these posts its steel just not sure if its whether to choose stamped steel or just steel the truck is a 2014 high country 5.3l 4x4 not a z71. seems like the newer trucks 2016/2017 are running stamped steel
